FAL for the win because with a good trigger finger it turns into a fully automatic gun but the smr no because it has a slower fire rate

SMR=Beast. There's no argument, even if people whine about recoil or inaccuracy, to me it's way better than the Fal.

Ive got the Fal mastered down to a T, its a very nice weapon but it depends on the attachments you use for what it can do. I run Millimeter Scanner, SF, and Stock. The mms is so i can see those who like to camp, SF for close range when switched on long range switched off, and last but not least the stock helps you get the ADS just slightly quicker then without a stock. I used to run Reflex, Grip, and FMJ but the FAL has such great damage you don't need the FMJ and stock is better then grip by far even though statistically it shows otherwise and I switched to MMS for the reason of being killed by campers with lMG's with Target Finder.

Two excellent weapons, very consistent performance, if you're gonna go aggressive, just go for the FAL, no squeeze, if you're going to keep distance from your people but also from your enemies, go for SMR. Two godly weapons.

The SMR with stock and QuickDraw, provided you are a deadeye aimer and have a quick trigger, is possibly the most versatile gun in the game. Add dex/lightweight, flak, toughness is a must, and you can just PA-POP your way through any spawn then turn around and get 2-3 shot cross map kills. It is a top 3 fave

either gun with quickdraw laser stock and a homemade trigger stop on your controller are beast for rushing

I've had that problem too but with the reflex. It only happens when i'm using the predator retacle but sometimes it just goes to default for a second or two..

One of my favourite builds is the FAL with Fire Select and ACOG. While it might not be an optimal build I regularly shame snipers [and non-snipers] with it. Works wonders on large maps like Carrier and Turbine.

I use the swat-556 for the play style that you said to SMR is for, and in my opinion it does the job better.

Good job! You finally learned how to use Control + C and Control + V. At least you learned something from school and actually payed attention in class for one day.

Since both weapons end up making me fire slower than my trigger finger I always consider the SMR to be better. Just cause if I'm going to be firing slower anyway might as well have that better damage alongside with it.

I use fall for long-mid range attachments are reflex sight(plus sign)quick draw and select fire for close range combat but I do hessitate when switching fire

its a glitch that happens sometimes. the game wont properly load which reticle you were using. i like either Spectre or Predator on my Red dot sight, but sometimes it doesnt load and it gives me the default reticle. it happens to the RDS, EO Tech and ACOG sights

That happened to me when I used PDW EOTECH with the blue, circle, arrow reticle, the reticle kept switching from default to the blue, circle, arrow.

I just used the SMR yesterday & I absolutely loved it. I agree with the iron sights though, horrible. But I did fairly good. And I shoot like I have Select Fire on it so thats off my list.

If you are aiming down the scope with a Ballistics CPU on any sniper rifle, and lets say if you get hit by an EMP... Does the Ballistics CPU still work, or would it not be effected at all? I want know if i should use hardwired with my SVU-AS with suppresor&ballistics CPU.

To use the guns tactically the FAL should be use if your backing up a "front man" or someone that is rushing the enemy with an SMG or auto AR. The SMR should be used if your playing second to a sniper or (as mentioned) laying down cover.

It might not have been when he made this. I know I saw match an Optic match where Scump was using a FAL on Hijacked. I guess both of those are now not used in competitive play.

hey driftor i wonder when u get hit by an EMP grenade or an emp killstreak u lose your laser sight/sights on your gun for a while. does this effect your stats that are counted towards the gun. for example ur hipfire increases when u attach a lasersight but when it gets taken out does the bonus still count toward your gun or does it reset temporarely untill it returns?

Basically, FAL is better for aggressive gameplay and SMR is usually better for ranged/defensive engagements.

Drift0r, your next in-depth episode, or episodes should you decide to do this, should be on game modes. Hardcore is a very big part of the game, and guns perform differently under the situation. You might also want to add in things like CTF routes, or Domination choke points to your next map guide.

Yeah it's sort of a weird glitch that happens in games. I've had it happen to me many times. It switches from my reticle to the default one.

Ive been using the SMR and perma unlocked it. Its an amazing gun overall. I use the stock to strafe, fast mag cuz of the reload time, and with primary gunfighter, the reflex sight cause all the other sights besides the mm scanner are hard to aim with. The FAL is a great gun but I still think the SMR is better.

these two guns will kill in 3 shot or less at any range ?

Hmm...I suppose it depends on what your good with plus attachments and perks...I play agreesive with SMR...I found out it was my favorite weapon. SMR when I play agreesive...didn't go negative again lol I had Overrated AR users on lockdown lol put toughness and scavenger...unstable but this is how I play I could go for a more stealth SMR but later...
