Preparing to create your own Black Ops III Zombies custom perk? In this episode I cover the basic installation procedure (there are text instructions in the link that you download the perk template from) and how to make a perk shader, as well as how to add all the necessary LUA to have your perk shader appear on the HUD.
I've been told that this is the old way to do the hud, but I believe it is the easiest and most nonintrusive way.
At 21:45 I forgot that the gsh file for the perk hasn't been edited yet. By default, the value there that I replaced with "brawlstar_punch" is "custom_perk" so just use that in the LUA for now unless you want to edit the gsh first.
I apologize for some of this being out of order and not making perfect sense. I did this series in pretty much one take and editing all of the clips of footage together was a nightmare so please show some support if this helped you in any way. at 6:51 you say that Scobalula doesn't work anymore (or at least that is what I take from it), so that means that we dont need that link. Correct me if I am wrong please.

@@jakejohnson7013 sorry, I was at work. Scob actually still is working on HydraX. I was told that he wasn’t supporting it multiple times but last month he posted that he was working on a new release of it.

When I try to get the perk icon template the download no longer exists i can only download the pack of preexisting perk icons how do I get the templates you have?

Any idea to why I get an error saying Lua isnt supported when compiling? I downloaded the L3akmod and pasted into my Bo3 Root

It doesn’t go into the root folder, it goes into bo3_root/bin/

You only need it if you are going to be using fx from it. I made custom fx for Brawlstar iirc so you won’t need it for that if that’s what you mean.

How would I script Bo4s Winters Wail into my map? I haven't found a single video on how to do it

You have to rip the models from bo4 and then set up a script for it. Whether you adapt the bo4 script or rescript it is up to you.

@holofya so I'd have to buy bo4 and use greyhound I assume to rip the models then go into the scripting for bo4 and copy paste the script for Winters wail or any bo4 perk, then add it like a custom perk? Sorry I'm new to all the bo3 tools stuff

@@BrassNuggetz ngl I read winters howl for some reason, but yes that’s basically what you have to do. Fortunately there’s already a pack with all of the bo4 perks if you’re just looking to install them for a map. They’re a lil brokey but they still function.

@@holofya 👋 I've followed everything precisely but am getting a UI error when I run the map. I know this indicates there has been a typo somewhere but after painstakingly looking I can't find any. Driving me a bit crazy

@@DaveSmith-mv8ex if the only thing you edited was for the perks list, it has to be something in there. Make sure your formatting is correct. The last perk should not have a comma after it.

@@holofya i did figure it out! but sadly, my mod tool folder got corrupted and had to delete it. still thinking about re downloading it. but i lost everything

@@holofya i was downloading a bunch of models and textures and other packs online through trusted sources. after i added like 80gb. i couldn’t start any worlds, even new ones. i tried deleted them all but so much folders and files sadly
