As an American from Tucson, Arizona who loves Brazilian bossa nova from the '60s, may I say these artists definitely have it 'down' with Luiz Bonfa's original composition of Manha de Carnival (Black Orpheus)! What a refreshing interpretation, and I'm amazed with their intonation and sucient observation of Bonfa's concept of his primal tune. This is classical and extremely well done. My many thanks for presenting this on KZfaq!

The whole band plays great, but, she is so lovely playing the vio, I wish I could be able to see her personally playing that song.

Black orfeus IS the title of the picture, manha de carnaval IS the title of this theme, the picture really has other themes

I think this commenter has a point. This performance is more for a jazz bar setting... Not for a concert. But boring is a bit harsh, as it's just not what you're looking for.

Jazz version messes up in Bossa obviously, academic music such as that ruins melody, guitar player is more acurate and violin is amazing.
