@Joy for Eternity Joy, I don't know what ethnicity you are and I really don't care but after much personal, in depth observation of this country's history, it is extremely apparent that this is always the reaction and attitude of those who have never experienced extreme oppression. Look at what these folks were dealing with at that time....Can you really blame him for advising African-Americans to break away from America's system? Historically it has done nothing positive for them and so Stokely was merely saying for them to embrace their African heritage with pride and focus on strengthening their economic position. Waiting on White America to support them and do the right thing was obviously a false hope. This man marched with Dr. King and embraced non-violence but it came to a point where it seemed like insanity. To keep doing the same thing and getting the same result! White America kept meeting them with violence and disrespect in the north and south. The man wasn't saying to hate but to separate from a system that clearly had no love for them.

From that segregation to a country that has black president , black Vice President , we mint black millionaires daily, black mayors , etc etc yes there are some racist blacks, some racist whites, etc but as a whole we are the one nation where people of any race and color can reach the upper levels. How many black doctors and lawyers do you know? I know many. Stop with your disgusting racism and pretending you are some victim.

This is 2021. There's more white people in blm than black. Open your eyes dude. The media is the problem. They want to replace cops with ai. They've militarized our cops in this country. The problem is the training. Not racism. No one is hunting black people. Chauvin did that to everyone who gave him problems. He did it to 17 minutes to a 14 year old kid in 2014. Guess what? The kid lived. The trial was fake. A healthy person did survive. Know why Floyd died? He was 45, had an enlarged heart, and did meth. He cried for his mama in 2019 too. He od'd like a week before also I think. Floyd killed Floyd. Was Chauvin wrong? Yes. However that should have been handled years ago. What he did wasn't racist. It was just the way he was trained. Should he be doing things like that? No. Should the department have allowed it? No. But they did. The first time was on him. After that, it becomes a different issue. He wasn't being racist. He was ego tripping. Wait until they get rid of cops, and your dealing with ai. You'll be looking back on this wishing it would come back.

Black power starts with economic growth. Money is power. You cannot ask someone to give you anything(even if it is a basic human right) unless your are willing to show them the money. Demonstrating and protesting is a only a show of unity. If the unity isn't followed up with anything else, particularly creating an African American based infrastructure, it will(without fail) come to nothing. If you can create a situation where you are self sufficient and don't need anything from anyone and are a viable option for economic growth, then the very people who hate you will change their tune because they stand to take a financial lose. The Montgomery bus boycott was proof of that. The race issue in America ain't about black or white, its about green. Get enough of these black billionaires in the entertainment industry to grease some palms and send lobbyists to Capitol hill and then you will begin to see a who lotta changes happen. That's how government legislation works.

What kind of legislation? What else can the government do? Remember the last time the government threw money at the black community (Johnson’s Great Society), the unintended consequences or some would say intentionally set the black community back and it still hasn’t recovered as a whole. You’ve had exceptions as blacks are represented in every form of power and tax bracket . Which is why I believe that whatever it is that needs to happen, starts and ends in the black community and culture.
@markbrophy54543 жыл бұрын
I have a lot of money and freedom but the money gives me the power to avoid the government to a greater extent than poorer people. For instance, I don't have to wear a mask for 8 hours. Whether you're rich or poor, the government is your enemy because the government's goal is to rob rich people and use the proceeds of the robbery to oppress poor people.

The white folks hated the marches, not because of the marching, but because of the attention they focused on Dr. King's profound sermons. He was shaming them before God and before man. What they hated was the EFFECTVENESS & RIGHTEOUSNESS of these non-violent, conscience-provoking marches which they knew always culminated in yet another of King's powerful, bible-based sermons that they knew would be every bit as beautiful and frightening, at once, as had been the one before it. We were winning because we were rooted in the Word -- Dr. King was a preacher preaching sermons to all Americans. Glory to God.
