Basically, it showcases an interesting feature of power chords (Paranoid is mostly played with them): as they have no third in them, they aren't major or minor and, instead, are interpreted as such by listeners based on context. During the chorus, chords that were originally meant to be in a minor key are used, but as the vocals are in a major key, the whole thing seems to be major.

I think Sabbath counted the Who as an early influence, so these two are a perfect match that way. That said, Roger could still wail on a live cover of this one.
