Sounds like the heavy metal soundtrack, but I wouldn't have guessed Black Sabbath from just hearing it. The Sword sounds more like Black Sabbath than Black Sabbath, I guess

They remixed this whole album. The rest of the albums only got remastered so they’re not gonna sound that different.

@@gabrielbrouwer They will. They have cut all of the dynamic range from +/- 12 to 6-7 and applied a lot of compression. Stick to original CD's. At least i will. Why remaster something that sound good already ?

The Tony Martin era is full of Metal class. Through 1987 to 1995 the mighty Black Sabbath survived glam, hair, Black albums, Vulgar Displayed albums, alternative - grunge momentums, etc. Black Sabbath found the way and now we welcomed the New Anno Domini boxet.

Exactly. These Martin era albums were my only solace in those dark times....it started in the late 80s & the 90s were dreary AF but Tony kept it going & every single one of those Martin albums were great. This is obviously a personal problem, but I take issue with people suddenly "discovering" these supposedly "lost gems".....this shit was killer then, killer now. If you weren't hip to these albums when they came out you weren't paying attention. Anyhow, whatever.It's great they're getting a second wind, however that may be.

Unless it's pure negativity, I really don't understand your sarcastic remark regarding Metallica and Pantera. What did you want? That Metal bands and musicians simply stopped making their own thing, just to force fans to listen to traditional Heavy Metal? Those years also brought several new subgenres, like Black, Death, Industrial and Gothic Metal. Ironically, Pantera themselves were big fans of Black Sabbath, and they even included a cover of Planet Caravan on their 94' album, Far Beyond Driven. Anyway, it's 2024, and there are no big and successful 21st century metal bands.

Sounds amazing!!! Cozy finally would be proud!! For more than 30 years I defended the era Martin to the death, and proclaimed its quality and genius everywhere. The release of Anno Domini and the incredible response from fans, including Mr. Iommi over his own creation, feels like a triumph!! Justice is finally done!!

I think from a legal point Toni Iommi can't assemble a Black Sabbath line up as Ozzy and him own the Sabbath name 50/50. Unless Ozzy gave the consent . It would be great though to go see Toni Martin take part in a new Black Sabbath venture .

I noticed that the vocals are completely different, when I heard the first two choruses, something felt off. Not bad but they do sound different. Not sure if they’re a different vocal take from the sessions or re recorded

I think they're the same vocals but without the effects used in the original CD. There was more echo and some chorus parts had a two voice effect.

I do so very much love the album "Headless Cross" with Tony on the vocals, he is a great singer. On other albums, no matter which artist, there are always one or two songs I do not like so much, but "Headless Cross" is just perfect. The team of the two Tonys is unbelievable. And I think they will never stop making music. 💖💖💖

When I first heard this album, this is track number two and the following track "Can't Get Close Enough" starts off really slow and kills the momentum. It threw me off and I bet it did for others. The first track had a spoken word section by Ice T and this wasn't popular, either. There's some great stuff on here like "Kiss of Death" and the title track, but it just seemed like a rushed contract filler on the heels of a vastly superior "Cross Purposes" album.

I grew up listening to Black Sabbath music and I love all Black Sabbath lineups. Tony Martin's era in Black Sabbath has a wonderful mystical charm to me The new remix of "Ģet A Grip" sounds excellent. Tony Iommi thank you for your wonderful music.

This is a pure improvement across the board. Martin, while sounding a bit slower and darker, is showing a lot more intensity and focus. I can hear so much more from the bass and drums, and Iommi's crushing riffs and solos don't hollow like in 95. You went to a lot of effort to make this sound better, and it comes across.
