Fantastic reaction, as always! Loved it! The lyrics were written by the great bass player, Geezer (Terry) Butler, and the music was by the brilliant lead guitarist, the great Tony Iommi (eye-OWE-me). 1971! Both Geezer and Tony were raised Catholic, so Geezer's lyrics were always very Christian in their perspective.

Hello my 2 young friends! Yes, both of you. I saw this come up on my que and could not resist. I usally check out and sub to reactors that play one or more of my 3 bands I support of the now. This is and will always be my favorite 70s Era Black Sabbath album. I bought this in 1974 when I was 14. We called the genre Hard Rock. I love all music, studied classical at the Concervatory etc. This time frame you had Led Zeppelin, Grand Funk, and Alice Cooper to name a few. My favorite Alice Cooper album is Killer. A lot of reactors tend to say they cannot understand Ozzy, but younger Ozzy and 80s Ozzy I cam and did understand. Black Sabbath was very instrumental and had a real heavy dark sound. My favorite song of this Album is Sweet Leaf. My favorite Ozzy from 80s besides the Lita Ford duet is I'm Coming Home. Used to play it as I drove my Big Truck home after 4 to 5 weeks. Geezer wrote this and most of the lyrics on the first 8 albums. Loving the great big smiles, funny how such down-tuned sludge makes people happy when it is executed perfectly.
