My favorite is the Ozzy era. Hello from a your Italian fan.

While both eras were great, I would have to say the Dio era had the edge. I like the darker doom and gloom sound of the Ozzy era, but it seems that Tony kind of loosened up somewhat and put more emotion and soul into his playing style during the Dio era due to Ronnie James being more of a storyteller. But no matter what era, Tony is still one hell of a legendary guitar player.

You can see how Iommi skill as a composer has grown. Thank you Miguel!

As much as I like both eras Ozzy era got three unbeatable big boy riffs: Children of the Grave, Into the Void and Sympton of the Universe.

Nothing from Dehumanizer?! Dehumanizer is my favorite Dio Black Sabbath album! The track 'I' is fantastic! That whole friggin album is fantastic! I always told friends that you can hear Tony evolved through albums like Eddie Van Halen evolved through albums. Great video man!

This was a good battle of Tony battling himself in the 2 legendary vocals of Ozzy and Dio with you playing guitar. I only wish you could have played something off Dehumanizer his final official Black Sabbath album even though the moniker name Heaven and Hell band basically is Black Sabbath but that too was a good album. I am wondering if you have done songs of Ozzy with his guitarists Randy,Jake, Zakk and Gus all battling it out or at least the first 3.

Dio is great and all and we all miss him but I don't think you can beat Ozzy era Sabbath with songs like Into the void, electric funeral, hand of doom, Changes and warning those songs represent the differences in Sabbath styles

Ozzy era and Dio era sounds like two differend bands i prefer the original Sabbath sound

Ozzy was my dad's Sabbath, Dio was mine. I like the drums on the Ozzy songs but they're less distinctive as Bill Ward with Dio, they're more intricate on the Ozzy material.

For me...DIO ERA. Faster riffs, faster grooves, all around more experienced.

The Dio era ones sound more refined and complex, but they're almost too generic with respect to other bands. The early ones are the one that define Black Sabbath for me because they're heavy and doomy

70s Black Sabbath sounds unlike anything else ever made. The amazing riffs, the Geezer/Ward combo. The unique vocals by Ozzy. After Ozzy was gone it sounded more like typical heavy metal. Nothing wrong with that necessarily, but for me Sabbath is Iommi, Osbourne, Butler and Ward.

Ozzy era for sure. Ozzy era sounds like sabbath. Dio era sounds like dio with a different backing band. Ozzy era are more interesting to listen to and has the best basslines. Dio era is good but just not as good.

Sabbath with Dio was more melodic, but with Ozzy it hits harder. I've always felt that it was more Sabbath backing up Dio than Dio fronting for Sabbath tbh. As compared to with Ozzy, where his role seems more defined and focused simply as the vocalist. If that makes sense.
