I show you 6 easy fixes for the OnePlus 7 Pro (works on many other OnePlus phones too) that has a black screen death issue. You may hear your phone ring, vibrate, led lights, etc but your the screen is black and you cannot do anything.
Make sure to follow the video carefully. If nothing works then keep trying every method again sometimes it takes 6 or 7 tries until it starts working again.

Man it's hilarious, I did all of the steps until almost giving up... I threw my phone in the freezer, got it back out, still nothing but a lot of condensation on the screen so I thought I messed my phone up for good, and after doing the pressing and tapping again, I could fast boot it and now it's plugged, charging with an apparently functioning screen! Even if it does not last long, you still made my day as I just wanted to be able to get some contacts and pictures from my phone :D

After using my phone one minute and then out of nowhere it had a green/black screen like they do when you drop it on the screen, I thought the phone was done. I took off the cover and discovered a crack on the back corner so I thought the screen was screwed. Took a chance and came across this older video and low and behold...and a total surprise to me, the rubbing the screen with pressure method got it back going. Never would have thought that pressing the screen and back of the phone would get it back but my congrats and huge thanks for this video. Also kudos for doing a video with GOOD step by step instructions and explanation.

Just a heads up for anyone having this problem, make sure your phone is NOT plugged in while holding the power and volume up. That was my issure, but after unplugging, it booted up like a charm 👌

The first solution worked for me. Woo this has saved me and I thought my OnePlus 6T was permanently broken with the dark screen. I would only see the dim clock and nothing else to unlock. Thank you so much!

Amazing mate. This issue has happened to me for the second time. I couldn't remember how I fixed previous time so i tried all the methods you have mentioned and finnaly worked.. Did all of it and tried to boot again with power and vol up button ten it worked. S, anyone who is having same issue dont lose hope just try and try unless your phone is damnage the repair shop is gonna do same thing. So save yourself some bucks.

I used this combination on one plus 7T. Power key and volume up key work great. After the latest update , i was unable to switch on the phone . After struggling so much i thought why not go on youtube and search . That really helped me . Thank you so much for your information.

For those of you looking for a recent comment, this happened to me just 2 weeks ago. My phone turned black while it was plugged in for charge, had about 55% battery left too. Tried everything on this video but it just wouldn't turn on. Turns out that my charging cord had turned defective, got a new one, plugged in the phone and it switched on immediately and the battery was still at 55%. Booted to safe mode and cleared my cache as well. Just an additional tip incase anyone is going through a mini heart attack and none of these options are working for them :) Apparently it's a common one plus issue if your charging cable gets ruined

I have OnePlus 6t. Whenever i open a game (call of duty, etc) or youtube (previously playing video in landscape orientation then minimised) the black screen appears. Previously i force restart my phone to get to main screen, but this problem happens everytime. So when i kept my phone on auto-rotate and changing the orientation 180degree brings my screen back. But this is not a solution. I want to get rid off this issue help me out.

I’ve been trying to get my phone the 6t to turn on for over an hour. Tried holding the power, tried volume up / down + power. Nothing worked. Found the video tried adding pressure and the tapping then volume up + power, and the screen came right on.

@@hussam5asd I took the case off and basically massaged the back of the phone. A little pressure. Then tapped around the whole front and back of the phone with my finger tips. Then when I did volume up + power it came right on. I am assuming something may have came a loose, and doing this popped it back into place.

What's the actual issue of why it's doing this (for the 1st step)? Mine just had this problem after powering on my phone from turning it off. It wouldn't show anything but could feel it being on and tapped the screen and held the power button and nothing would show. Had to drive home from work with the screen not working and then I try this when I get home and didn't even make it through step 1 and the screen comes on like it didn't even have a problem.

@@mathinakazi9050 had to set an auto power off in the settings. If your Google voice works you can set and timed power off and on. If it doesn't you can try being Ina really dark room. My screen wasn't entirely black, but barely lit up. I just set it for a couple minutes later then power on a minute after power off. Everything went back to normal.

PUTTING MY ONEPLUS 6T IN THE FREEZER WORKED FOR ME NO LIES.Y'ALL STEPS 1-5 DID NOT WORK FOR ME! I THOUGHT MY LIFE WAS OVER AND THERE WAS NO WAY I WAS GONG TO PUT MY PHONE IN THE FREEZER CAUSE IT DIDN'T MAKE SENSE... Hello, I wanted to try "Carly for VAG" app , installed it on my op 7t pro from the app store and upon opening it screen goes black - force resetting worked for me, then i opened the app again and it black screened again ... this is werry weird.. i uninstalled the app ... anyone any idea why this is happening ?
