Well “Flaming Star” was apparently a cooler name than the original working title “Black Star”, and thanks to a combination of David Bowie and the World Wide Web, I came to adore this song enough to want to play it all the dang time. Thanks Nick Futch Media for filming and producing this gem for us, and thanks of course to ye ole Chooch and Grant for their stellar playing on this track. David Bowie's blackstar is weird but the whole album is like a concept album about his death that he released right before he died. Kind of an interesting listen and watching of the videos.

The guy who created the very first video of the only black star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2002 I have been ready to do a video about the black star again now for quite a while and I'm going to be doing that soon I appreciate you guys doing the song if you don't mind I might like to do a version of the song from yours version. I was going to sing the song myself because I sound a little bit like Elvis Presley but the truth is nobody will ever be able to do it. And you know that that song Black Star was changed over to the flaming star which was the title of a movie that he starred in. Hope you guys contact me soon and let me know

guy who did recorded it here! we always use a combination of mics, the leader being the Zoom H4n. then the camera has a shotgun mic and I have another Zoom H1 I'll stick wherever I need a lil more
