I'll keep my eye open for that stuff, it could be very handy to have. I just won't confuse it with my Black Cat bubble gum!

Black tack comes from TV and filming, it came about as a reusable adhesive that could stick camera to cars etc without surface damage.

I love black tack and use it for a number of applications in my electronics projects. It is GREAT for strain relief - i.e. making sure wires and solder points don't get pulled or shaken out of place... It is far easier to apply than hot glue, for example. Also, it very slightly hardens over time, so strengthens without cracking or breaking (make sure you keep unused black take in the paper folds it comes in).
