My thoughts on Black Widow PA2 and PSA2 weather you want a solid or a take down bow both are great options for the price point and will stick out in a crowd with the beautiful laminations they produce.

When I was a kid looking through the hunting magazines classified sections I always wanted a Black Widow bow. But fell in love with the short recurves. I never did buy one. So I ended up owning hundreds of Bear Archery recurves. And takedown recurves.

Have never owned a Black Widow before but always wanted one. To me it is the prettiest bow made

i have 3 Black Widows and 2 borders a Black Douglas with 7,5 Hex limbs and a Covert Hunter with 9 Hex limbs both blazing fast shooters and believe me or not i like the widows most of all

How can I find out which limb tips are fully reinforced or not?

So good question, anymore all bows you get from a company or pro-shop are reinforced. I believe sometime in the 80s almost all bow manufacturers went to reinforce tips cause of the faster strings. You can always consult with the bow company like Bear, Damon Howatt etc, thats if you get an older bow but if that’s the case for example if I bought an older bow now in the mid 80s to 1970s I would just use a Dacron string just cause of the age of the bow.

Each to their own as they say. I live in Missouri not that far from where Black Widows are made. Owned & operated by Wilson Bro,s if I recall. I build Bows myself so just wanted to share my own perspective on Blk Wd Bows. I do know they have been in business for many years. Their basic forward facing limb design also shows no sign of changing for performance sake anytime soon. Which would make sense of course if that design really did justify the sticker shock price . ''''Gotta tell ya my friend'' & again in no way am I intending to come across as Rude at all. But if those shot strings on the screen of your chrony'' are correct '''''OUCH''' Man Ive built self bows faster than that... It makes one wonder why any builder would not take full advantage of anything or any idea that would bring their product up to speed. One last idea in closing. & responce to your snap shooting style in the comment section. From what I can see you may want to try whacking off several inches of arrow & useing a heavy,r brass insert perhaps''''100gr.'' & a point or head of 150gr. or more to get your F.O.C. up. just saying. Speed is not everything, but for $1500+ that is slow..... Crazy slow at that.

I wonder if your drawlegnth is really 28 inches , your arrows protude at least 6 inches .

My draw length is actually 27 3/4 I pull back just a little more to get close to 28 and with some arrows I leave a little long to get the weights I want with the arrows I have. With the longer arrows it’s about 3 inch extra if it was 6 inch’s my draw would have to be about 25 inch draw, I’m short but not that short. 😅

No anchor point. Different every shot. Are you a snap shooter?

Anchor point was consistent, fingers touch my jaw, feather touch my cheek bone. Snap shooter/instinctive I am not I pull back line up then shoot.

@BrozBowz this is coming from a place in the interest of helping you: assuming your chrono is consistant, it's not possible you're properly anchoring. Your speeds were varying wildly from low 140's to mid 160. I could tell by looking at the tip of your arrow about what the speed would be. Theres a lot more to it than just "finger touches jaw" or w/e. I suggest you dive a little deeper if you care about proficiency.

I'm almost 100% sure your Chinese scale was off widow has been making bows since before you were a twinkle in your father's eye. You guys Crack me up reviewing something with inferior tools and no knowledge. Your humming noise is because of 3 under and a bad tune.
