Back in time when blackberry’s were a bigger flex than apple

I’m going back to blackberry. Hate how attached to my phone I am, with nothing going on. Bring on the simpler life!!!

Blackberry Passport is best phone ever made. IMO.

I was literally thinking to buy a blackberry and KZfaq read my mind.

I miss bbm days, everything about the blackberry was so comfy.

I was just browsing around but suddenly blackberry entered my mind. I really missed it so much as back in my days, that was the bomb. Even to this day, I still find the design and everything about blackberry is just so alluring. I'm tempted to get myself one as my second phone. Nostalgic is insane on this one.

The Classic is one of my favorite BBs. The others being the Bold 9900 and Passport. They were designed to get real work done. Currently rocking a Key2, but I wish BB OS was still around. It was a solid operating system.

I remember the day when everyone used blackberry back then. All celebrities in my country, teen, everyone bought them, it became a trend before iPhone come.

I'm using my blackberry passport as a daily driver rather than my iPhone. This just made me more productive throughout the day.

I always wanted the Blackberry Bold back in the day. Could never get my hands on one 😢

I used a blackberry Z10 for two years. The phone then just went off. I loved its keyboard experience though. Just swiping up the next words. It was lovely.

I am typing this on my blackberry classic. I have been using it for two weeks now. 1. It is gorgeous. Every morning I wake up next to this thing and it delights me. 2. The keyboard is as expected, great. It just feels right. It's much more accurate than a virtual one but slower. It can be quite loud too - I wouldn't use this phone at a library. 3. You know what's the best? That little trackpad. Why is no one mentioning it? I can browse the Web fast and one handed. 4. If you don't download Google apps the battery can survive a full day. 5. There isn't much apps left that are usable but once you get it running it isn't that slow. Overall it's a solid compact device and a great conversation starter. It's unique and it's not for everyone but at least for me I love it. The biggest downers are: 1. Lack of apps 2. Weight (mine measures 174g) 3. Weird screen ratio breaks websites. I got mine for about $110 from aliexpress.

Just literally dug my silver edition passport out , just for calling, messages send emails, still love the look of it , so sad BlackBerry have gone, they were the best

I've always loved how professional Blackberry's looked, not just when it comes to product design but the OS as well.

I miss the old design mobile phone because there are the various of design :)

I was using a BlackBerry Q10 right into 2019. Finally got an Android phone cause I didn't want to miss out on apps anymore, but functionally the Q10 was great. BB OS is very straight-forward and makes all your basic tasks faster. The size was perfect and the keyboard was very nice to use. Too bad those classic designs just aren't compatible with a lot of the other stuff we want smartphones to do now.

I had the EXACT same thing!! I bought the same blackberry a month ago because i felt addicted, and i simply didnt want to be it. people are having a hard time trying to understand me. i got from a iphone XS to this one. and i love it.

God bless you -- I was recently forced by Verizon into ditching my BlackBerry Bold for an iPhone11, and it's a nightmare. The hard keyboard of the BlackBerry is unmatched for ease of use.

When I text using Blackberry I feel a real massage that goes through.

I still remember changing out the bezels to customize them with different variants.

BlackBerry is still my favorite phone. I had the bold and still have it (not in use) if blackberry could match with all the other phones cameras I’d definitely switch back! The keyboard just makes everything so convenient. It just feels better in general.

Still using my BB Passport the design master class. Whatsapp runs on it with little glitch..!! Best mobile OS ever BB os.

man i loved the curve back in the day, but the blackberry passport is hands down the best phone ive ever owned... one of the coolest phones and OS's. It did everything perfectly...I actually wanna buy another one soon

I absolutely loved my Blackberry Bold 9700. To this day i still think it's one of the best designed mobile devices I've ever had. If only the software wasn't so bad, I'd probably still use one today.

It's the only smart phone brand that I addicted missing and love.... It's so sad BB stop making their own devices and BB don't think about their fans😰

I still own a BlackBerry Classic (with both cameras, and unlocked Network) And the Cameras were absolutely amazing for the time. The back camera was a bit slow in terms of capturing time but thats why the "timeshift" function was added, where you could swipe in a timewindow of 0.5 seconds and choose the picture which got best. Blackberry gave us lots of features which are very common for today like the swipe up from the bottom like you mentioned for example. Back in 2015 it supported Whatsapp, even Videocalls worked. At the end of 2018 whatsapp stopped support for Blackberry and i tried the Android Version on it, which also worked except for the voicemail option, I could not send any voicemails but receiving and playing was no problem at all. The Map is not very exact. It often misses your target by 50 - 150m but it gets you there anyway. If it was more exact it would be the best Navigation App ever cause it tells you so much more details than Google play. Like for example google says "in 1 mile keep left" where Blackberry says "In 1 Mile choose the second lane from the left to direction...." or gives you detailed information of issues on your route. Also I have to say the Display is still the best display in terms of sunshine readability I've seen so far. No mirror effect and a very bright and absolutely clear display. No difference to inside use. It was the fine, not obvious, details which made a Blackberry absolutely worth its money. They were much smarter than Apple still is today, like fitting a proper battery (except on the Z10), an amazing display and a Micro SD slot and still one of the best sounding speakers ever built in a Phone. Where Apple is like "Give us all your money for our Phone that hasn't got a Headphone jack, that has a tiny little battery from a wristwatch (as traditional at apple) and an absolute boring design. And if you want more storage on your Phone you have to buy another one for an extra like 300$ more" And although my Blackberry has been in Daily use like every other phone it has not got a single scrath on the front, not evern a slight sign of use. These things were built to last and had an amzing built quality. R.I.P "real BlackBerry"

Currently using my classic and keyone, the keyone serves as my main driver while the classic is my secondary device.

I never gave my BB clasic .still use it some times.i love the sms and calls and the hub.ill keep to show it to my grand kids one day 😀

Just a question...I would be eternally grateful if someone could answer this. Now if I buy one( the purpose of getting away from my smartphone) . Would I be able to operate just for calls and texts? Or there should be any problems with account creation or opening it after booting...??

I liked mine, plus I liked the Torch, the Passport is still grinding along for me and working as the workhorse phone for work! Keyboards are my preference even over an iPhone 8 thats the weekend friends and family phone....

I still use my Blackberry Classic to this day. Been using it for over a year. Had an IPhone but wasn't using all the fancy features. I'm a Blackberry user since the Pearl. Will use the Classic till it won't work anymore. 💪

Using my key2 as my daily driver and my classic for my adult things, call text emails. Nothing beats a keyboard.

Quick correction - Blackberry Classic came out in December 2014, so it's a lot older than the search result you brought up implies. I got mine in September 2015, so I can vouch that it was out - and had been out for a while - by then. Also, a lot of those social media apps and stuff WERE supported when the phone launched, but because it running an unsupported old OS, you can no longer download and run them.

I spent the last couple weeks using my BlackBerry Passport on bb10.. It was an awesome experience! I hardly even missed social media. Tho some of my friends were chirping me for my absence in group chats... something to be said for a phone that's good at being a phone.

Blackberry was going in the right direction after its revival. It’s a perfect time to get back in the game since smartphone designs have peaked so they don’t need to play much catch up. I really hope they jump back into the smartphone game.
