Thanks for the great review! Agree with some of the commercialized albums. Rickeys voice is amazing on most songs even the duds. I saw Rickey play in MN. earlier in the year and he still can could tell he was loving playing is Blackfoot stuff. Been over 40 years of listening to this band and I can't take a road trip with out including some of Blackfoot.

Excellent review George. Love me some Blackfoot. I need to get No Reservations, Flying High, Medicine Man and After the Reign. I do have ‘Ricky Medlocke & Blackfoot; and you’re right, it’s terrible. For a couple of years, 1980 to 82, they were making good in the UK. They opened for Scorpions on Animal Magnetism, then played Castle Donington Festival in ’81 (with AC/DC, Whitesnake and BÖC), and Reading in ‘82. They also headlined a club tour in 1982, playing Newcastle Mayfair which I saw, and which was later used for the phenomenally good Highway Song… Live album. I rank the top 3 as #1 Strikes, #2 Marauder, #3 Tomcattin'. Great band.

I think I have four their albums, not familiar with the rest. Marauder has always been my favourite, probably because it was my introduction to the band. My fave overall album of theirs is the live album Highway Song - Live. Great versions of all their best tunes. One of those bands I never got to see live.

Blackfoot is a band that I’m not too familiar with, I think that most of their stuff that I am familiar with is on the “Strikes” album. I like what I have heard, I don’t know why I haven’t really checked them out 🤷♂️

I had strikes on 8 track, and I wore it out . 😂
@floodland3
Wasn’t Ronnie James Dio the original singer? Or am I mistaken?
