It's songs like this that make me feel as though i have been born centuries too late. Though I maybe be born in this time to help bring magic back into the world.

The jazzy solo at the end is what you'd expect the least in such a song... It epitomises Ritchie's genius as a composer: he is exquisitely unpredictable!

+Lyès Aïssaoui IMHO the song should have ended at 3:15. I didn't care much for the rest after that part as I felt it ruined the calmness of the song. But that is just my opinion

@Elias A, Nailed it. This song epitomizes his versatility in a way. I like both parts though it can catch those by surprise who are not familiar with his past work. There is a remastered version of "the storm" from one of his Blackmore's night albums. I love both versions. Very different but it speaks volumes about his past and current work and I like both too.

Miss Ritchie Blackmore from his Deep Purple and Rainbow phase. BUT, so glad he is doing what he loves with the Lady he loves.

Out of curiosity, when did the spelling of the word change from Faerie to Fairy? I like the first version of the word most. It has a unique touch to it
@spleens42005 жыл бұрын
I believe it was around the same times Fairies became known as the little beings with wings, aka pixies. Faerie had meant everything in that mystical category, like the fae(which are like Legolas Elves), pixies, mermaids, and the like

Magic is still here. It's just not people usually think it is. Magic is purely a thing of feel. Here we have a fine example of magic, this music can bring comfort and warmth to where it is can't be found naturaly. There surely no magic of wizzards and faeries, but the magic of art is real as stones and air.
@landanheath4 жыл бұрын
Magic never left. You cant destroy something completely. Only insanity can allow you to see the fey (fae?) but you can work real magic. I practice druidry, for instance, is a religion where fey, magic, and nature are very important and a prominent part of it.

Really wish faeries were real. I'd want to be one. They lead such peaceful lives.
@annitsumidori15546 жыл бұрын
emily wujick who says they aren't? Maybe they are simply wise enough to go unseen, in this. Age. Where do you think stories come from? Nearly every culture has their version of fairies, from long before any of them would have known other cultures....that cannot be a mere coincidence.
