Celebrating 25 years of Blackmore's Night.
On the 10th of March, 2023, the 25th anniversary edition of 'Shadow Of The Moon' will be released. This incredible album was lovingly restored, remastered and remixed after the original master tapes were discovered. Released back in 1997, it was a groundbreaking, radical departure from Ritchie Blackmore's previous work, but ultimately became something of a milestone in his career. Candice Night's beautiful voice and gift for storytelling complement the music perfectly, creating a timeless album.
To coincide with today's announcement, the 25th Anniversary Mix of the title track: 'Shadow Of The Moon' is available as a digital single and lyric video.

she reminds me Auri from kingkiller chronicles. She doesnt show up herself in the moonlight -> in the shadow of the moon she danced in the starlight -> she moves like a elegant dancer. music made her poor heart dance -> kvothe play lute for her and she likes so much. driven by a world gone mad, she took flight -> she lives in underthings

Disappointig, if you consider that this guy once wrote history with Deep Purple and had been an idol for legions of guitarists. If I listen to Deep Purple with Simon McBride and then to this "Pseudo-Medieval-Helene-Fischer-German-Schlager-Fake-Happy-World-Mimic-Contest" - I know, I am completely wrong here, sorry. Sometimes it is better to retire in time and dignity, isntead of falling down so deep. My opinion.

If you actually expand your mind further than that and consider that this is a man who has done it all in rock at the very top of the Stargazer genre. More recently, he and his wife have found joy in producing music of a different kind and have mastered it to perfection. To be so brilliant in two very different genres is rare. Perhaps you could be generous and applaud it?!

Lol... I had the same initial opinion of Blackmore's Night 25 years ago, then I gave the musicianship a listen, he hasn't "fallen down", it sounds more like he has matured if anything. I find it refreshing that he is making the music HE wants, the Way he wants it. Heaven knows, he's earned the right. Just because it isn't the Commercially Viable, Factory Formula "Top 40" Pablum that they feed us daily, doesn't mean it isn't worth listening to. It beats the heck out of hearing Ritchie getting stuck in the industry grind trying to keep Purple or Rainbow alive with sad contractually limited formula pablum. THAT would just be F'n embarrassing. And, I'm fairly certain that Ritchie will continue to be a guitar idol for more than a few years to come. btw... "Hush" is the first 45 that I bought as a kid. Rock On!
