His life flashing before his eyes I would imagine. I got caught in a nasty guillotine choke wrestling with a buddy and being young and dumb I refused to tap. I was seconds away from going totally out when he lost his grip, and let me tell you that was as close to death as I ever want to feel. The tunnel vision, the pressure threatening to burst your eyes, and every ounce of you being screaming for air... yeah, just tap, cause it ain't worth the brain damage@@BLVCKSHXXP

The whole sequence with DC just doin whatever he wants with Hendo is one of the many reasons why I consider DC my favorite HW/LHW of all time. Slam over the head, a super smart trip and then gets another hold of one of the most dangerous fighters back then. I only wished for DC to have started his MMA career earlier. He literally only lost to 2 beasts but cleared everyone

sqiurming around is a good way not to get out of getting choked in some cases, in most cases squirming around gets you in worst positions

Crazy he lost that fight, not really possible to say he was out before the bell. Merab may have only went out in the millisecond after, and he came back to a second later anyway.

At 5:42 when Merab shot that takedown, his head lands on the canvas knocking him out, and then wakes up to a submission concussed, wild that he even survived till the bell.

I genuinely don't think he did survive the submission. I think he went out and come around once the round ended.

Lol he didn't 'survive'. He was very clearly out the second they hit the floor and then he maintained being out while his body responded to the trauma of the concussion he got and the choke being applied. Ref should have seen that a mile away lol.

GM3 immediately releasing the choke and lifting Barberena's legs to help get the blood back to his head instead of celebrating was the most sportsmanlike conduct I've seen in years. Even Herb Dean was confused like "Bruh, ain't you supposed to be running around the cage yelling right now?"

I think most of this fighters doesn't tap because they was so concussed to realize what really happend, this happend to me one time, i got caught with a headbutt in a jiu Jitsu class and i was choked out before i Even noticed

The conclusion to 196 was incredible man. I still remember that card like it was yesterday. Seeing Meisha choke out Holly like that for the BW title & thinking that was the surprise of the night only to then see how Diaz v McGregor panned out...another RNC & the supposed underdog winning...crazy.

I believe some of them had the sense of death before they tapped out or light out. That is why i have a really big respect for champions like Volkanovski for overcame this kind of situation and came out on top. He is the true definition of champ. Legend
