Pro tip pants man,buy all the clothing available to purchase. Because of the fact that you can only earn clothing once in the wheel spins if you already have the clothing item the spot it would normally be in gets replaced by money

I got 350+ hours on this game, been playing since its release, yeah sometimes I get bored and play another game, but from time to time I jump back into the game. I mostly play open horizon mp, and try to build another car that can be competitive online (pretty much the same as nfs unbound when you figure out which cars are competitive). What's good about fh5 is that it has frequent updates with new cars for every season, so I try to unlock them as well and maybe try them online to see whether it's competitive or not. Collecting cars is also pretty fun for me in this game. This game is not for those who only enjoy single player and grinding to unlock specific cars, but you unlock many cars and try them on many builds without worrying about how much money you have

Horizon 4 got 80 hours out of me before I finally got tired of this kinda crap. My heart goes out to you for doing all of that in a single sitting and not losing your sanity.

FH 4 and 5 are the only games I can think of where I can not play it for weeks at a time and come back to loads of extra money and wheelspins. There's literally no incentive to do any of the races if the car of the week isn't something you want to get.

If you want to doing wheel spins but you don't want the clothes mucking things up, you can (or could?) buy a majority of the clothing items by going into the character customization. It replaces the clothing slots in the wheelspins with more money.

The main thing FH5 does ok for me is the weekly festival playlist. You can play it with friends in a convoy for about an hour each week and you don't have to grind to afford the cars since the events (wheelspins) usually pays you back by the amount you spent if not more. Whereas in TC2 you'd have to repeat the same race for 3 hours just to buy the cars for that week's summit and then never use them again. Oh and waste time managing car parts in TC2/TCM is a huge PITA.

Basically do the weekly challenges, then sell whatever car is worth 20 or 40 sometimes 50 or 60 points. Then sell the car in the auction house. Cars range from 1 mill to 12 mill. The rarer the car higher the price. The auction house is like the stock market, cars go up and down all the time. If he wants the Aston marten then he needs to search it for every 15 minutes or so, also I am Willing to give him my Aston Martin's I dont drive them anyways

never played a forza game before. just recently started checking it. enjoying it, but yes this is exactly what im thinking half the time I play. The game does not do great at introducing you to all its mechanics or how it works. Glad to know its not just entirely noobism.

you missed the motor swap on the hummer ev, you can put the Nevera's 1900 HP motor in it which makes the Hummer just that little bit more mental.

Forza's reward system is so broken. I think in Horizon 4, I only bought like three or four cars that weren't tied to progression (like how after the first few races, it asks you to buy a crossover for the off-road events). All the rest were vehicles I unlocked through wheelspins. You get them for winning events, using your perk points, levelling up your driver ranking, purchasing houses, using your earned Forzathon points, and so on. It was ridiculous how much the game was just happy to give them away.

I did the same thing a few weeks ago. I haven't played the game in a while, checked my inbox to find out I got tons of wheelspins and cars.

Ngl i put like 400 hours into fh4 as it was my first forza and i got ultimate editon so i got lego dlc and stuff. Completed like every quest set etc and u was so hyped for fh5 and got it 6months after release on my birthday. Played for an hour. Got bored and now to this day i have about 10 hours in total and log on twice a year to play city hide and seek

The menus are pretty much like operating your phone lol, anytime you get something new, a notification pops up on the exact tab you need to go to, same as when you get a notification from a certain app, it literally puts a dot on it to tell you, "hey, you got a new message or notification or something, open this app to check it out"

I did the same thing on the wheel spins too. I keep on spamming on the skip button to win big money so i can buy new cars and stuff, then I accidentally press keep the car when I get another duplicate.

Ever considered organizing some car meets in Horizon 5 with the community? Set some vehicle rules/limits and then do some bracket drag racing and/or roll racing.

I didn't have problem with that, being diagnosed with OCD, these yellow pop-ups in different menus really annoy me so I have to check everything to get rid of them

Playing forza horizon and doing the seasons for years and yes i am guilty of this as well. I was always chasing the 2021 Porsche GT3 and i always complained i didnt have 20mil to spend, not realizing i had more than 10 cars that i dont use that could be auctioned for 20mil. I bit the bullet and made over 250 million in auctioning cars that i dont care for and now I have the cars that i missed out on. What a life changing experience, it really is a rush.

on the auction house you can select the max buy out to 30,000 cheapest and select your max price to whatever you want

Back in early 2022/late 2021 when I started playing the game, I specialized in doing those high SP races and bought and threw away those Trans Ams with the wheelspin skills and harvested over 100M cash doing that for weeks and months, but in mid 2022 the game got boring to me and nowadays I just come back to take pictures of cars or save myself some of the festival playlist cars

It’s so easy to acquire cars in Forza Horizon and even those that are on the festival playlist will show up again eventually or be gifted to everyone like the Audi E-Tron GT and the newest BMW M4. Also, seems most racing games are going through the same issues in which it becomes repetitive or a grind. What else can you do besides driving a car from point A to point B and compete in events (solo or online)? At least the Event Lab gives players more creative freedom and it is an innovative idea. Here’s hoping the The Crew Motorfest and TDU Solar Crown can revive the racing genre. Otherwise, it doesn’t look good in my opinion as far as the future of racing games.

Dunno if it's this way still, but in Horizon 4 the auction house would only allow you to put cars up for certain minimum starting bid and max buy out. Algorithm based math magic crap. It was supposed to level the economy out but usually meant that the very few cars I didn't have were out of reach (if I cared for them).
