miyeon sounds like she could be taeyeon's daughter in terms of how her voice sounds, i love it

For me Miyeon wins, but I wish she would put more emotion into her singing. Rosé always has that true heartbreak sound to her singing which I love and I would love if Miyeon could do something like that. She’s alr a beautiful vocalist, but if she had a bit more emotion it would be the the little cherry on top. G idle and Blackpink u will always be famous 🫶🏽

rose surprisingly sounds more connected and less flimsy below A4 for me, those G4s 0:36 and A4 1:51 coming from rose sounds so good

They are basically equal, but they’re both inconsistent meaning that they both have bad and good moments (even within the mid range).

For me Miyeon wins, she just seems consistent and has a really full tone that just feels more pleasant to my ears. Also there's a Bb4 on her Just a feeling performance that was really good too.

Wow this is actually quite interesting considering that these two are about the same level as each other. Maybe other suggestions (3rd generation vs 4th generation) that you could consider in the sometime future: -Solar (MAMAMOO) vs Lily (NMIXX) on G#4 - Eb5 [Definitely would love to see that!] -Yuju (GFriend) vs Haewon (NMIXX) on G#4 - Eb5 -Wheein (MAMAMOO) vs NingNing (Aespa) on G#4 - Eb5 [The battle of the "light" singers \lh, but would definitely love to see that as well!] -Jihyo (TWICE) vs Jiwon (fromis_9) or Winter (Aespa) on G#4 - Eb5 Also, is it just me or does Rose has tongue tension issues (it's not really that heavy but just something that I think I could have noticed lol) at times or maybe some quirky vowel shaping choices (eg the second F#4 from her struck out to me because of that)?

I think miyeon is better a bit. But technically, they aren't that far. They are so close, very close

both are my fave vocalist... they have almost have the same supported range but miyeom edges rosé a bit in lows. rosé is also doing good after her solo debut (slight improvements) & i like her vocals in hard to love.

Miyeon's voice seems to have a bit more natural weight to it, she also has a better vibrato which is a plus. Rosé has a smaller volume output but she seems to have an easier time going above B4/C5. These two are really so close, it can go either way.

In my opinion : F#4 : Miyeon G4 : Both G#4 : Miyeon A4 : Both Bb4 : Rosé B4 : Miyeon C5 : Rosé C#5 : Both D5 : Miyeon Winner : Miyeon My comment is about my favorites, not about technic

Based from this video alone, Rose has the slight edge on F#4~G#4 but once they reach A4/Bb4, it's pretty much equal. Miyeon also sounds nicer outside her supported range.

I'm relatively new to the singing community and I always wanted to know something. When we speak about how 'DEEP' a voice is, are we talking about how heavy or light a voice is OR are we talking about how high or low (pitch) a voice is? I know that when we speak about how bright or dark a voice is, we refer to the positioning of the larynx (High larynx=brighter sound and Low larynx=darker sound). So when we speak about brightness are we also referring to pitch?

they are more or less on par with each other i guess miyeon is a little better but i just love rosé's tone so much like she truly has an "unique voice"

When tf sullyoon is better than karina? As you saying. karina support G#3/G3-A4/Bb4 and has latest B4 studio at least but still great and coachella live rehearsal B4 sounds fuller and percise and B4s coachella performance and has nice Bb4 and her last shallow was Last year fansign event and is not that serious and for sullyoon has Bb3/B3-A4/Bb4 has nice Bb4 in 2022 still great attempts B4 but karina’s B4> this year and karina has better low and agility so overall karina is better than sullyoon, at this point you are biasing too much on nmixx
