This is definitely one of my top top top BLACKPINK songs ever! It just showed a darker sassier side of all four of the girls! Since their hiatus there have been a lot of other fandoms taking advantage of them not doing any music and talking a lot of crap, making up stories, and trying to degrade how strong and successful BLACKPINK actually is…. even being on a hiatus for two years no one could surpass these four girls! This song was a definite slap to all the fandoms and anyone else that dared to run their mouth and talk the crap they did… These haters can hate but they are not going to hold these girls back! I think this MV and DPV really showed how much they all have grown with their talent and their confidence.

It’s so hard to choose a favorite tbh cause it always depends on the mood but my most recurring top 5 are (in so specific order) 1. Shut down; the whole tribute to their past mv’s the rap, the simplistic set, and the classical incorporation is just amazing. 2. Crazy over you; this song was so different in the best possible way. The middle eastern and Indian instrumentals had me on my knees and their seductive tones were it. 3. Whistle; their debut song will always have a special place with me, the choreography for it was amazing and the entire beat had me floating 4. Typa girl and pretty savage; wholeheartedly cannot pick between the two but the way they’re both so sassy makes so much sense to me. The lyric is amazing in both and they both had catchy beats and every single one of them shined. 5. Happiest Girl and You never know; both these ballads resonated with me and gave me chills all the way to my core. Their vocals are filled with emotion and each song touched me in a different way. It's really hard but tbh this new album hits and I'm happy with it. Top 5 Blackpink songs EVER: 1. Don't Know What to Do Without You (this one became a favorite of mine right away the music flows, the vocals are amazing, the choreo is very fluid and difficult, and of course it's just beautiful) 2. Shut Down Tbh it just had everything I wanted, same as the last song. The music flows and fits well together but the violin really adds a kick and is so cool mixed with hip-hop elements. Both the rap and vocals worked well together and showed each girl's strengths and power. The choreography is also so mesmerizing. It was a total win for me. 3. Lovesick Girls Between 3 and 4 I have a hard time picking, but Lsg is just too beautiful. The MV was so amazing honestly it's top tier. I love the guitar and the sad vibes it's so good 😩 Once again all the girls really had amazing parts there wasn't anything lacking rap or vocal wise which is pretty crazy considering the genre of music, it's a totally vocal sound but the rap part is probably my favorite haha. 4. Whistle Whistle I feel like is controversial for a lot of kpop listeners but I think it was absolutely AMAZING. It's their debut song but the beats and melody are just so different and they work so well together somehow. You can tell it's more experimental than their other songs but it really worked so well. To this day it still has the best bridge and I just love the vocals, rap, dance it checked it all off ✅ 5. Happiest Girl This one was hard haha. They have so many songs that are worthy but I really wanted to put a ballad and honestly this one is actually my favorite of them. It really stood out in Born Pink. All the girls really pushed themselves and put their all into their vocals. Lisa and Jisoo specifically really hit a turning point in this one and I'm obsessed. The hook is so addictive and the chord progressions slay I find myself humming it WAYYYY too many times hehehe. Anyways that was my long and very thorough top 5. Honestly I love all of their songs it's hard for me to not be like "oh but this one!" For each and every one but yeah... I feel good about this.
