This entire M/V is a shout-out to their previous body of work, and also one of the most expensive ever, because they re-built and modifies so many specific scenes - apparently upwards of $5M. The symbolism is that they're shutting the door on what they've done, moving up, and are ready to fill many more rooms with their work. At the same time "shutting down" those that have dismissed their work - basically saying - "This is what we've done, what have you got?" Initially, it is difficult to tell them apart, especially because early on they would change hair colours, styles, contacts, etc - in the same video!

When BP showed up in Atlanta, they shut down Atlanta. The goddess in green is Rosé, Australian/Korean and the Main singer (the best vocalist anywhere hands down). Speaks at least 6 languages. The girl with the number 33 on her skirt is Jisoo (full Korean). She is the lead vocalist and sub-rapper and the oldest of the group responsible for visuals The girl in light blue is Lisa (Thai), the group's main dancer, lead rapper, and sub-vocalist. She is the youngest of the group, likely the best dancer in the music business, and hands down the best in K-pop. Last, but certainly not least is Jennie in Red. Born in Korea, but raised in New Zealand, like Rosé, she speaks absolutely perfect queen's English...with her being the queen of course. lol. Jennie is the group's main rapper and lead vocalist. If Lisa is the youngest, Jennie is certainly the most cared for by other members of the group. The whole group functions a bit like a family with Jisoo as the mom, Lisa a little bit the father figure, Rosé the overachieving oldest child, and Jenny the baby of the group. No one can touch them for talent individually, but together, they really do have zero competition in the world unless you are into boy bands and that's just gross. lol Their fans are referred to as BLINKS. Word of warning: Blinks are extremely protective of the members of BP and they probably outnumber some countries. Some fans are known as 'solo stans" for individual members. They are both protective and frequently a tad bit unhinged. For normal Blinks, everyone has their favorite member or "bias". Obviously, mine is Rosé. lol

Just FYI on "Rosay". All her friends, fellow BP members, and family call her Rosie (as in Rosy). Her real English name is Roseanne. Her real Korean name is Chaeyoung. "Rosay" is a figment of YG's marketing department imagination. In early interviews, Rosie and her members kept calling her Rosie, then corrected themselves and said "Rosay", to tow the company line. Her couple names all reference her Korean name Chaeyoung (for example Rosie and Lisa is ChaeLisa, Rosie and Jennie is ChaeJen, Rosie and Jisoo is ChaeSoo).

Top reaction Bro. This is the first big hiphop hit that uses a 6/8 beat throughout, this was a brave move for BP after churning out more traditional bangers. Lisa is the more European looking one who often has a fringe...she is from Thailand. They have other gangsta type hits, which are often B Sides. Don't be scared to react to their b sides without vids which are just as good and sometimes better than A sides, as you should get the same amount of viewers or more sometimes. Some B sides you should like are Typa girl, which is the song after PV and Shut Down on this album....and off their last album, Pretty savage, Crazy over You and Love to hate me. Please find a colour coded lyric video to react to for these...this will help you remember who they are straight away and even get to know their voices. Lisa is the only one with the bangs, Rose almost always has blond or pink hair, and then the main difference between Jennie and Jisoo is that Jennie is the rapper (along with Lisa), and Jisoo is the vocalist (along with Rose). Of course this isnt always in a 100% of cases, but in most cases you can recognize them like this until you get their faces down. Cool reactions btw, subscribed.

Lol I’ve already seen hate comments. You probably already know blackpink has the biggest KZfaq following of any music artist. Totally random but I loved Eminem and Disturbed growing up as a kid. Many artists in between. Blackpink kills them in numbers. I’ll say nothing is perfect. But Korea is a relatively small country. For them to be the biggest artist on KZfaq they are doing something right.

They do the rap sections almost entirely in English in the Japanese versions of their songs.
