I'm not really a Swiss route fan I will probaly get this and the class 31 on Christmas day anyway I get TSW4 next Friday the special version only costs £45 on Xbox instead of £90 it's on black Friday sale

@@declangaming24 when you get voralberg on tsw4 I’m telling ya it is beautiful. Color and texture is amazing and runs really smooth. I’m not a euro railfan, personally I think British motive power is ugly and the horns sound like they’re on a toy car, but routes like west Cornwall, trans pennine, east Hampton, and the great western routes are highly enjoyable, and for Germany/Austria voralberg, Dresden, and spessart bahn all are in my top ten favorite tours and that vectron is just bad ass

@@jwrailve3615 voralberg is the Austrian /German route isn't it? I know some of the routes like east coast mainline but as I owned TSW 1 and bought some other DLCs for TSW3 those will transfer NTP, Cornwall local, tees Valley, Cathcart circle but I also have LIRR, pen corridor, spessart bahn, ruhr sieg nord, rapid transit,LGV ect I mainly buy UK stuff as I'm English but also the special version I get Scotsman, rail pool train, Boston providence, south Eastern high speed, linke rheinstrecke, NV dresden

NTP is OK to drive if its a loco hauled service but the 101 is the harder service

The one with 4 gears is extremely odd. I just put in 4th and let er dig. Love the trans pennine route itself but British motive power has to be among the ugliest on the planet.

@@jwrailve3615 The 101 with it's gears is a great train to drive, once you get used to it. The first few drives I had in it I thought it was a right pain. Then I saw a stream with someone else driving it and I thought it looked good. So I tried again, and yep it is good. I used to avoid it at all cost, but now I love it.

@@lenwiggins3052 how do you switch gears while running though? I’ve tried several times but it just stalls it so eventually I just go straight to fourth and keep it there. Again not a fan of euro rail at all but train sim world has made me enjoy euro commuters. The 101, the turbo on great western, and the other commuter on east Hampton are super enjoyable to operate.

@jwrailve3615 I use the D pad on the playstation controller for changing gears. What I find best to do is to wait until the needle that moves as you accelerate gets to towards the top of its range. Then off the throttle, until the needle has dropped past its lowest point. Then up on the D pad to change up a gear, then back full on the throttle. And repeat until in fourth gear. Changing down is the same but when the needle is past its lowest mark its down on the D pad. I hope this helps and is clear. It is easier for me to do it than to explain it. It really is worthwhile to persevere with it. I love driving it now and I find it very relaxing. It is my favourite loco to drive, and I have most of them. As I am getting on a bit, I find with a lot of the other locos if I don't drive them for a few weeks I have too have a bit of a refresher in the training centre. But with the 101 I can leave it for several weeks and just get back into it and away I go. Another problem I had was the brakes, but find them fun now. When I first started to learn to drive it I found it a great satisfaction just to get to the end of a route without giving up and saying, no, not for me. Then after that, a few more drives and I got my first silver. Another two or three and my first gold. I was like the cat that got the cream. And I know I had a blooming beaming smile on my face, I was so pleased with myself.

There probably was much more traffic back then since it joins with the wcml. But those stock is not represented in tsw. Not sure what ran but there's ohle present at preston i believe so probably some electric trains not in tsw

They where very basic displays back then you had the paper timetables and the big displays stuck on the wall

Seems to be most of the BR routes in the game as destinations from the one's I've spotted

I have a keyboard plugged in alongside the controller, so using Shift to speed up

@@TheBritishAce while possible in free roam I like doing custom scenarios if none are added to the consist selection when setting up the train in custom scenario it'll hopefully be possible through consist designer definitely looking forward to that feature

Modern day is boring. 80s BR era is So much more interesting seeing the decaying infrastructure and more skill needed to drive the trains. Class 101 DMU is quite simply the best train in the game if you take the time to really learn it.

@@declangaming24 If you have Tees Valley you shouldn’t need to use free roam because the Class 101 layers in from that and has services of its own in time table mode. Of course if you have all the other TSW BR Blue dlc’s like NTP etc a lot of stuff from them layers in to the timetable mode which makes this Preston / Ormskirk dlc worth getting and paying full price for if your a BR Blue 80s era fan. Also if you have WCL it layers in it’s freight wagons as well. That’s on PS5, not sure if you get all the layers if your on Gen 8 consoles like PS4?

@@Wishful-Thinking for British rail 80s era I have NTP, Cornwall local, heavy freight pack, tees Valley and the class 20 I only really need the 31 and Blackpool and that's the 80s done and dusted well I get TSW4 next Friday so I'll install all my stuff I get Blackpool and the 31 in December. Yeah I have great western express but I don't need the diesel legends pack do I
