Last time we stayed in BLACKPOOL our hotel didn't offer an inclusive breakfast, so we took the opportunity to try out breakfasts at 3 different cafes. At least that was our intention. As you'll see, not everything went according to plan!

Hi Colin & Tim a great review, but I have a question to you and all other followers as we live in Blackpool and run a business here, unless there are hidden cheap food shops that we aren't aware of why does everyone think the food should be cheap here, we pay the same prices as the rest of the country, along with very high electric, gas and water rates so, we also have to adhere to minimum wage so it is very hard to do anything cheap without cutting corners. I would love to hear everyone's thoughts on this.

Hi Denise. Thank you for your comment. We discussed this in our Live Chat this week. We don't expect food to be cheaper in Blackpool but, the fact is, often it is. We don't specifically look for low priced restaurants but, like most people, we appreciate a bargain ❤

Great that Jks and The Hive were really good. No excuse for rudeness at Cafe 25. It's simple... if you want custom you have be friendly and polite.

Hi Colin and Tim Great review as always, the hive to me seemed a great place and i genuinely think a quality sausage makes a good Breakfast, however self service and an over extensive menu always does my head in first thing. As for Cafe 25, i think the treatment you received there was terrible, and an apology would of been nice. JK's Cafe and Grill did seem to do well, but catering sausage, no thank you, sorry Tim im with Colin here the Hive wins for me also. Chris. 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈

The Hive seems to be the popular choice amongst The Chatter Gang, so no hard feelings, Chris. The breakfast at The Hive was delicious 😋 and so worth the extra cost 👛👛👛 ❤️

Hi lads. I thought you'd done a good review of the Hive so I had my breakfast there yesterday (29/6/24). The staff were honest before I (and other cusomers) sat down that there was a 35-40 minute wait for food. I wasn't in a rush so ordered the premium breakfast. Very good indeed and the home made sauce really worked. My coffee tasted slightly bitter otherwise I was very satisfied. There was a lady who was hard of hearing and the staff seemed really good with her.

Got that very same Benidorm hat😂 Just back from Beni and counting the days - speaking of breakfasts, went to this spanish pub - got toast, orange juice, coffee, a lager and olives for €8.50 😮

waaa Now I want a breakfast but its nearly 2.30am lol Have you tied compass cafe same street as JKs I cant wait for the comments if you do as they can serve breakfast in a frying pan and that will upset the just pour the beans on the plate brigade noo I want to mess with my own little ramekin of beans and I did like that little tiny pan of beans...so cute Good to meet you at weekend at Mc Graths and like I said no way would I let you review my place I know all my faults and short comings myself haha Keep on doing your reviews they make me smile. Just by looking I could tell JK's sausage wasn't as good as the 1st. I live in Cumberland Sausage county so I'm always a bit wary what sausage goes into my mouth. One thing I noticed @ JK's was the one pat of butter! I'd have to ask for about 45 of them - never trust anyone who won't put enough butter on your bread! You pay for the best produce. That 1st place was proper on the map & if I ever get about - I'm going there. Real nice vlog - I'm starving now - so going to have a beer & get a pizza delivered. Hope you both had a grand weekend or do you stay Sunday? I used to like Sunday all the landlords of B&B's would come out & it was a good laugh. Sending my very best to you both. David x

Hope you guys love pride Weekend the sausages at The Hive look dam dam good but like you said catering sausages at JK Cafe & Grill most use them as they only have 38% of meat in them I should Know as my bro buys them I use to buy them, If you can at some point take a trip to Rolled up cafe Her sausages are polish sausages we now only go to two places in Blackpool 1 Rolled Up Cafe as we defo love polish food & number 2 Lindale Cafe very very nice Now for a But never try The Golden Mile one talk about bad swimming in grease

£9 for that? Could fit all that between 2 slice of bread. You're paying an extra 3 quid to have the beans served in one of those pretentious thimble size pots. I bet their chips come in one of those wire baskets.... and the burger served on a power hosed roof slate🤣
