Forging a set of simple flat bit tongs in less than 2 hours. This was a test forging a simple set of flat bit blacksmithing tongs. I started out with 18" of 3/8"X3/4" forging the the bits at the middle of the starting piece and the reins to the ends.

Great job. Would have liked to see the twisting done but really liked the overall results. How do I get a copy of the pdf?

The twist is nothing more than putting the boss in the vice jaws and twisting the bits at 90 degrees towards your tong hand.

@@bc65925 So, being left handed, right hand tong holding, I need to set the boss in the vice jaws with the indention towards the left and twist counterclockwise.

Looking at the bit end of the tongs twist towards your tong holding hand.
