I am a vehicle inspector in New York State, USA. I was a school bus mechanic for 20 years and always have enjoyed fabrication and working with metal. Another great video.

I am a retired programmer currently working part time tutoring 4th grade math in western North Carolina, USA. Long time wood worker just starting to learn metal work. Just completed my first welding certification class and thinking about taking a beginning forging class at my local community college. Wow, wonderful work, and your slitting chisel tool really came in handy for crafting it! Something which I love very much is that each object which you craft can almost be felt after you give it the final touches, and that's something great. The snow and scenery outside is magical. :)

15:50 Drop forging. :DD Nice 🐱 proof candle holder. They won't turn that candle holder over. My only suggestion is maybe adding a nice looking tray under the holder to catch drips from the candles. It would save you from cleaning the window sill.

I love your work and the peace you emit. In all rest and quietness you make the most beautiful workpieces. Even with your workpiece redhot, falling in your coolingbucket, you stay calm ;-).

I used pine tar and linseed oil on a couple walking sticks a few years ago. The finish is fairly resilient. I use a heat gun if the wood cracks and reuse the pine tar that was impregnated to reseal. It's a great black.
