I carried that 17 inch blackstone in my big truck all over the country. It's easy to stow , clean and cook on. Much cheaper, healthier to cook your own rather than eat the preserve laden food in the truckstops, blahhhhh.... After 1 fast food meal you swell up for 2 days at least . Good choice guys and looking forward to you showing the cleaning and stowing away aspect of it also. PS get a large 20 lb propane tank or even an 8 pounder and an adapter with a 6ft hose to save on your propane
@IreneIronTravels
@IreneIronTravels 2 жыл бұрын
You got that right Greg! Glad to hear it worked out so great for you! We do have the adapter that we used with our onboard propane in our van and look forward to using that with our new travel trailer as well! So convenient! We don't have space in our truck for the bigger cylinder...,so we're stuck with the small greens for now.

Great stuff guys. Hope you did the Mineral Belt bikeway. If you make it over to Dillon/Keystone we are within shouting distance of the Prospector and Lowry campgrounds off Lake Dillon and the entire Lake Dillon rec path is just outside of our door. Thankfully the tourists have about packed it up after the Labor Day weekend.

I’m curious how you have adapted to the setup and tear down aspect of camping. Your setup looks great. We’re gathering gear to get started, and I’m getting overwhelmed by the things we need: fans, stove, mat for the doorway area, etc. How did you keep it simple? Perhaps a video idea? I’ve watched since you started in the rooftop tent, so I have some idea, but still curious.
@IreneIronTravels
@IreneIronTravels 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Jenn 👋, thanks! We just finished 30 straight days of boondocking in this setup........ and yes it was pretty tough! Battling rain, wind, cold, heat, wildlife... etc. There's no way around it....it's a lot of teardown and setup. We try to sit for a week or so as it got tiresome after awhile. We do plan to do a video of the items we felt were nessasay for this type of travel. Thankfully we had most things we needed from our van setup. What type of setup are you going to have? Part time or full time?
