I earn well, but finish the month with debts because am always seeing myself like '' if i dont do it , things will spoil, i dont say no when no is needed. I’ve lived all my life with the ‘saviour’s mentality’ as I grew up in a dysfunctional home with an absent father. Always showing up for everyone and anyone in need as soon as I am called. A lot of times, I starve, I borrow to meet the needs of others😭😭😭. 2023 is the toughest year I have lived as it looks like its ending with me in a lot of debt. 2024, the narratives must change😭. It’s so refreshing to hear these words of wisdom from a pastor in Nigeria for once. No sugar-coating, just raw undiluted truths. Wow, it now makes sense..while most us came for "black tax", Man of God is giving us the WHY, which is being watchful not to put ourselves into patterns we were not called into, while Protecting our Purpose of existance

Plan your life such that you've invested so much in your time and in the quality of your life, then you'll be strong enough to meet all your responsibilities. If you waste your sowing time, and time is no longer on your side, you'll need to borrow the time of your children, and use them to work, because your time was wasted. So, you'd be stealing the early phase/sowing time of your children's life to add to yours. Never allow your time to be borrowed by one who didn't use their own well! Don't waste the time you should be using to build your life. Maximize your time, so you won't need to borrow anyone's own.

I greatly appreciate this talk of yours. Another aspect of this (perhaps, the flip side), which I think you soils also look into is people who feel the need to be always needed by you. They will always Acct like helping you is burdensome on them, but they are so afraid if a time when you will no longer need them, and so, they put in so much energy into keeping you down. I know that this may not make sense, but it is real.

I've been on this series from the Part 1 and now 2, all i can say from my heart is "God bless you sir, for this expository teaching." This answers a lot of questions on my mind. I am liberated.

I wish my dad heard this sermon is his productive years when he was thriving in his career. Black tax recked him and there is nothing to show forth from his active years in service. Unfortunately, all the people he cut his head for are today very ungrateful.😢

For me, I've realized that the pressure i feel comes not from the words of my patents ir their attitude towards me, but from the stark poverty that we have to face year to year. It is even worse for me because sometimes it as though the level of poverty I have to face is worse than my parents😂 I don't know how many classes and marks I missed in school because i could'bt afford even the smallest android phone. Currently, I write but I have not even been able to do much because my phoneis bareky manngaeable and I don't have a laptop. Sometimes I'm strongly tempted to try other routes, but the reality is that i know what my purpose is, and like Christ, the will of God supersedes mine in this case😊
