Multi Bait Shark Fishing Challenge

In this episode of BlacktipH, I go fishing with my buddy Corey and our mission is to attempt the multi-bait shark fishing challenge. We began the day using a croaker for blacktip sharks. Corey got the first bite of the day and after being hooked up for the first few seconds, the hook popped off. I put on a catfish for the next bait in the challenge. I hooked up after a while and fought the shark for a few minutes before it also popped the hook. So far we were 0/2 today. Corey hooked up to a small blue runner and reeled it in. We ended up splitting the runner in half and both using it for bait. After a few minutes, I was hooked up to a blacktip shark again! We fought the shark for about twenty minutes before landing it. It weighed about seventy pounds. The last bait used was a sand perch. I put it on and left it up to Corey to watch while I flew the drone. Corey hooked up for the last bite of the day on the sand perch! It was a nice sixty-pound blacktip shark, and we completed the multi-species bait challenge!

Thumbs up for the left hand side reel setup 👌 this is the best way to fish for right handers. Use your stronger arm ( right ) to do the pulling and weaker arm ( left ) to do the reeling, that's the most logical way.

switching hands to cast and reel is literally the most inefficient thing to do edit:also probably easier to tell if you are getting a bite and feel the fish moving with your more dominant hand

Was river fishing for catfish and had a boat pull up and fish like 10 ft from me. Started casting at there boat until they moved because they kept trying to cast where we was casting and there was nobody within a mile of us.

I’ve hit a boat with a lead weight before I was bank fishing in San Fran bay for sharks and rays and this dude ran over my line and then anchored up right in front of us I yelled at them to move and they didn’t so the stern got to meet a chunk of lead long story short they left

I’m from Maryland and have struggled sharkfishing until early May. Your videos inspired me to shark fish and this summer I caught my first hammer on an 80 wide took 40 mins but I got it! Thank you!!!

I like the variety of Rob's videos, but they have ALL turned into catch and cooks, which get kind of boring after a while. I find I only watch the first half of it and skip to the next vid once he starts cooking, lol.

@Jason Rasmussen it doesn't harm fish or mammals... pretty sure it woudln't harm sea life unless you literally got 100s of gallons and poured it into the oceans maybe crustaceans would be effected but I doubt it.

If you cast that close here in South Africa you will stand and watch your rod the whole day without a bite! You guys are spoiled there...we have quality fish and sharks but it takes a cast 3-4 times that distance! Epic fishing!

Another great video, Josh. I must say as much as you love the land-based fishing, I love watching them. It's good to see you back on the beach! Was that a migration or something or what would cause all of those sharks to be there in one big school? Preload the rod prior to casting. Bring it forward and back fast enough so it bends back and then cast forward as hard as you can. You'll cast MUCH further.

Those barb serrations got me good a few years back, cut took at least 3 weeks to heal right.
