GIANT Shark Tows our Boat Backwards

In the episode of BlacktipH, I hooked a monster dusky shark and it tows our boat backward! Our journey started in Palm Beach, Florida, on a rental boat, and our goal was to catch big bonito and giant sharks. We caught several bonito and kept a few to use for shark bait. All of a sudden, a tagged sandbar shark showed up and started to eat our bonito. I grabbed this shark with my bare hands and tried to read the tag. Several hours later, I decided to try and catch a giant shark. Doing this alone was very tough, but I managed to harness in and get tight on the shark. He was pulling a ton of line with max drag, so much that he was towing the boat backward! I battled this shark for another twenty minutes before we could catch and release him safely.

Hi black tip! I’m mike and I’m 12. I’ve been watching your videos for a while. I love fishing and love it even more because of your vids. Me and my dad have a summer home in Long Island and we go fishing in the sound on kayaks catching porgys and sea robins. But by using your fishing skill I was able to catch a shark! Same for me I’m 12 and when I went to my grandmothers house in englewood Florida. I went on a charter boat and caught a 200 lb hammerhead. Because of you I knew to keep my knees bent and know that when the head turns not to try to force it in. Immediately after I looked up videos of you catching hammerheads. Thank you and tight lines.

btb_ jr I mean he is deep sea fishing. Almost every fish in sea is trying to look for something to bite and eat on. Meaning you would come across a lot of fish in sea rather than in a river or lake FYI

As always, a very entertaining video, Josh! I cannot believe you grabbed onto that shark's fin - you are crazy, lol. Is there any chance your wife could join you for an episode? I don't know how old your children are (I know you have one young baby), but could you bring the family out? It'd be neat to have her/them come and watch you do what you do (maybe try for herself?). Here is a tip for you from Ireland. Take a plastic bucket and drill large holes in the bottom and in the side all around. Keep the lid. Place your chum bag inside the bucket and put the lid on. Hang this over the side of your boat instead of just the bare bag. Sharks will tear open your bag hanging on the side like that. Keeping the chum bag in the bucket protects the bag. You can shake the bucket or the bag inside periodically to keep your scent trail moving.
