Keep it up! I definitely needed one Friday. Had to lower an exhaust fan motor for a restaurant off a roof in the rain. I had to climb down to unhook it and climb back up for my tools. Great ideas and ingenuity.

Applications in SAR work and load handling are enormous. Get one made of steel and get it load tested. The military as well as Search an Rescue professionals will be very interested in this product.

At first I thought this was alot extra to do, compared to tying an extension to a saw or tool to lower. But after I saw that dismount, I knew this was a must have, holy shit dude. The only thing I would ever add to it, would be a way to make it easier to tie, for the broader consumer, like a spring loaded claw, that would bend in and then bend out to release, after say 2 pulls, but yours actually works, so that's says alot too. I am a little iffy on the notches, I've never used anything like this, so I would have to be used to trusting a notch that much when safety is involved. Great product,I will definitely be backing

Simple, yet very effective. Good job.

Great idea. I would be interested in an arborist version for 1/2" line. I'm a professional tree climber, and nothing like this exists.
@fern92345 жыл бұрын
I was thinking if you guys (arborists) when he was demonstrating it. How nice would it be to be able to lower your saw down before coming down the ladder? ....or lower some of you cuttings in areas where you can't just let them drop?

Could you make some rated at least 27Kn? I'm not saying it's safe but I'd love to be able to climb and rig trees on my own. Something to withstand heavy shock loads would be an amazing innovatio!

Honestly, I am working on it. This project is part of a series to help me raise capital to buy more tools to make better designs. Thanks!

I saw this video months ago and now I have a use for one. Spent hours searching trying to find this video again. I see you have a kick starter but it is over. Can I buy the Paracord carabiner somewhere? I want to buy right now.

not very often i see something that im genuinely impressed with ,,, but this is one such occasion ,,, very good , but does it actually need the cut out and gate in the circle at all ,,, which then gives me another idea ,,,, drop me a mail if your interested. ,,, i think i could quadruple your market . at least.

I work on small commerical fishing boats. often you need to lower items down off the wharf onto the boat - or off of the wheel house onto the deck - this could be very useful - how secure is it though? would you dare use it around water for mid value items and tools?
@First_Class_Amateur5 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment. I am designing one for professionals like yourself. It's a ways out though. I will do tests this weekend on how secure it is and then post the video.

@@First_Class_Amateur the notches on the paracord model to me seems to be too shallow. With 1 bight it has a high potential to slip.

@@igneous061 yes, but then what is that whole gun reference about? Are you equating calling a piece of metal that rope passes through a carabiner, the same as calling some arbitrary other piece of metal a gun? If so, your point was not clear.
