Espectacular Robert! Imágenes impactantes, no solo por la altura sino por todo el material que llevas contigo y que necesitas para reparar un golpe/grieta en una de esas palas.

This is a truly breathtaking and beautiful video that shows the repair of blade leading edge erosion. As can be seen in the close-up from 1:15 to 1:41, such repair requires skilled craftsmanship, carefully applied. Congratulations to you on a job well done, and to your aerial drone videographer for showing us how you did it!

Thank you Jordan, for your kind words! I'm glad you like it. My best advice is to replace everything you take out ... don't be in a hurry to make a repair in record time ... learn slowly but well!

I understand rope access for the offshore Wind farms but wouldn't a big MEWP be cheaper and less time consuming for the onshore ones where accessible?
@robertsantano92612 жыл бұрын
no, rope acces, is still cheaper than a cherry picker. we are faster and more effective
@OuchPleaseNoooo2 жыл бұрын
@@robertsantano9261 I would have thought a mewp could do 4 or 5 a day as opposed to probably just the 1 by rope access? How many can you get through in a day? Also do you have to do 3 drops for every one Turbine? for each blade?
@SH-lm6ek Жыл бұрын
Muehlhan blade techs do blade repairs using MEWPs too, it really comes down to what the client is willing to pay for Rope access is cheaper, but I wouldn't say faster, and there are a lot of advantages to MEWPs when it comes to carrying tools and materials, especially for bigger and more complex repairs However, it's easy to see from this video why rope access guys would rather be dangling from a rope than standing in a basket

I want this job so bad, but would need to go through total re-training, gwo, irata, grinder license, license of a trained repairer, etc etc, why can't they just let me do all this with nwsa TT1, rigger certificates, feels really bad, like really😒
@jamescheynne28792 ай бұрын
Rightly so, because those qualifications you have don't qualify you to do this job or work in this industry.. that's why. That isn't 'really bad', it's the way things should work.. to make sure people know what they're doing and don't kill themselves.
