It's interesting that Batty quotes (or misquotes) the poet Blake. Where do these reps get their affinity for art and literature, haha. I checked it out and found that the correct words are more like "Fiery the angels rose, and as they rose deep thunder roll'd. Around their shores: indignant burning with the fires of Orc."

Kudos to Cyber Chaos for listing screenwriters Hampton Fancher and David Peoples. This immortal, insanely funny scene, like nearly ALL the scenes in Blade Runner, is thanks to Fancher and Peoples. Read 'Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?' and you'll discover that PK Dick gets way too much credit for this movie. His actual contribution is about 5% of the material, a simple idea, really: A bounty hunter is tasked with hunting down and terminating an enclave of scary-smart androids. Period. (Yes, PKD is an astonishing Kafka-on-acid novelist, just as his cult-followers will tell you, but that does not translate automatically into: "Blade Runner was based on a PKD novel.")

@@jokey9712 I don't remember the name of the map but It used some of the voices from this movie for the octabrain monster in the game. Duke Nukem 3d was one of those easily moddable games and I even played full songs in game.

I would imagine it was an intimidation tactic, or provoke a slow death. Leon is more emotionally and intellectually underdeveloped compared to Roy.

He wears the coat so he doesn't die of hypothermia, as the eyes, and therefore his lab, need to be kept below freezing temperatures. Tearing off the coat puts Chew on a timer before he freezes to death, and obviously running isn't an option because he's constantly between Batty and Leon.
