So in the video I mentioned that I didnt really want to go over Dan Fengs part to not make the video too long but essentially its hinted that both dan feng and blade had a really close relationship and for whatever reason dan feng decided to impart immortality to Blade. Theres 2 things here thats slightly different in that firstly blade wasnt forced to receive it, they way its told its sort of implied they were both aware of their actions. Secondly its also hinted that dan fend didnt just impart immortality but rather took it from a different source and gave it to blade. Now alot of this isnt explicitly mentioned and theres a lot of reading between the lines so we cant be 100% sure but this seems to be the start of the entire sedition and rebellion of dan feng and how blade was involved

*Here's my theory:* Blade *isn't* gay. "Beloved" is a 3rd person. And there was *a love triangle between Blade x Beloved x Dan Feng.* Blade and Dan Feng were researching immortality for the sake of the 3rd person "Beloved". Like Fullmetal Alchemist. Beloved was engaged to one of them who is Unnamed (could be Blade, Dan Feng, or someone else. But likely one of the 2). Something happened where *the immortality research could not be used on "beloved",* but was instead used on Blade against his will. Now Blade feels betrayed and seeks death (probably to join his beloved in the afterlife). Also, here's the reason *why Blade doesn’t work as the Beloved.* We know that they were researching immortality. If Blade was the one the immortality research was intended for, the story would cease to make sense. Blade wasn't participating in this research for himself. If he was, why is he so mad now? I think you could probably do some gymnastics to stretch that line of thinking, but I think Blade participated in this research for someone he cared about, because someone dear to him needed it, not for himself. And I think Dan Feng took advantage of that for his own gain... or because he viewed Blade as a friend and wanted to help him (but that doesn’t make sense when he watched him get butchered by Jingliu)... Like, they were friends, but I think he used the guise of friendship in order to use Blade for the immortality research. or because he was also in love with the person that was referred to as "beloved", who is suggested to be engaged to someone (the "Unnamed") for marriage. This brings us to the love triangle theory where "Beloved" was engaged to Blade, but Dan Feng was also in love with "Beloved". This is pieced together from information in other lore videos. The exchanging of bracelets that Blade made was for him and his beloved (whom both Dan Feng and Blade were researching immortality for). The feeling of warmth that it gives (if it can do that, I dunno) is probably to be another way to tell if the other person is still alive. I dunno if it's generic like a heat pack or if it can actually let the other person know their body temperature. Blade wanted to back out. Probably had second thoughts about using it on her. Dan Feng didn't let him (cuz again, under the guise of friendship, Dan Feng probably had his own reasons for spending all his time researching immortality). And then the incident happened.

I'm pretty sure this is it or least this is what I got from wondering around in the recent update. Im pretty sure they are good friends and I assume Dan Feng was doing this research to possibly help his friends the Foxian who died, Jingliu who was grieving her death and assumed that either they wanted to bring her back similar to how the are brought back because their souls are in the area and that maybe Blade turning was an after effect or that they wanted him to live as well.

This is likely what really happened though as the big sin dan feng was said to commit is 'stealing' immortality and granting it to another person. As to whether he was forced, its implied that it wasnt something yingxing was against or was forced to do though we dont know the details of it. Maybe it was a situation where he offered himself up to test it or something, perhaps they were out of time. Im positive were going to see the story for high quintet soon maybe in 1.3 or 1.4 given jingliu is shown to already be a playable character and there doesnt seem to be any indiciation we will be leaving xianzhou anytime soon

I listened to a theory that blade's lover got mortally wounded in a war , same as Blade and Lunae used forbidden immortality arts to try saving them. This process however turned the beloved insane, she lost her humanity and tortured blade who became immortal but lost many of his memories and kind of went insane also. The people he wants to kill are his transformed past lover, lunae and himself. Very tragic story: seeing his lover turned into a monster, suffering at her hands, losing most of his memories, humanity and being forced to live on in crazed state and as an empty shell. No wonder blade hates lunae and wants to die to just escape the suffering. What kafka promised blade is probably eternal death. :(

I think its definitely possible that this ends up being the case especially since the last member of the quintet is current unaccounted for (which could be the beloved, but who knows could be someone else entirely) and it would be another way of explaining why blade ends up having such a difficult relationship with dan feng. Although that being said, the reason I think hes mad now is because of being mara struck as from what weve seen regardless of whether you were good or not when you are mara struck all thats left is just those negative and destructive emotions. Plus when we first see blade meet dan heng kafka made several references for blade to just accept the mara. So I do think that its possible what you described is how he became immortal but the madness I feel is a result of the mara just intensifying whatever hatred he already had 😁

Blade is the narrator. In this story, Blade describes Dan Feng as being "merciless" and having "eyes bursting with cruelty". Blade also says (to Dan Feng) *"The one who single-handedly buried the beloved - was you."* These are Blade's words and the thoughts he had when this event was occurring. This means, whoever "Beloved" is, is not Blade himself. Assuming that Blade was the beloved is where the idea of Dan Feng and Blade being in a romance comes from, nothing else. Blade's the narrators and he's clearly referring to someone else, a third person, that Blade refers to as his "beloved" (likely Blade's lover, cuz that term would only ever be used by a lover imo). Blade is clearly accusing Dan Feng of "burying" his beloved. And in Blade's view (by his own description), Dan Feng did this with cruelty and mercilessly. *2) As for the bracelets,* I believe that if the bracelets were made for Dan Feng, it was to signify their friendship. Especially since Blade's Beloved is not himself nor Dan Feng (clearly, it's not Dan cuz Blade said that Dan Feng killed "the beloved"). My guess is: this is a story of 2 best friends in which one of them killed (or experimented on?) the other's lover. Or, it could be that the immortality research was meant to be used on beloved all along. And because it was used on Blade instead, Blade viewed that action of choosing to rescue him over his lover as an act of betrayal - like, Dan Feng might as well have killed her at that point since now he assumes she's dead forever and it's all Dan Feng's fault. But there is a chance that the research (to some degree) was used on the beloved as well. And that there were horrific results (like in Fullmetal Alchemist when Ed and Alphonse tried to resurrect their mom). Beloved might have come back as a monster or something, which isn't what Blade wanted since Blade tried to back out of following through with their plans. Let's look at the next piece of evidence: *3)* Read the text from *the Passerby's Roaming Dragon Bracer* where it says: *"However, in the end, it was also this person* (referring to the spear weilder a.k.a. Dan Feng) ... *who stubbornly adhered to their plans with the unnamed* (unnamed is referring to someone who is *not Dan Feng,* keep this in mind, this is important)..., *turned the beloved* (a 3rd person in this scenario) *into a monstrosity,* *and pushed all* (meaning all 3: Dan Feng, unnamed, and beloved) *into an abyss of eternal hatred and remorse."* From this passage, we can see there are 3 people involved: a spear weilder (Dan Feng), the unnamed, and the beloved. It says that Dan Feng stubbornly followed the plans that he had with the unnamed. We can assume the unnamed is Blade as the 2 of them did work together to research immortality. We also know that Blade wanted to back out, but Dan Feng proceeded with the plans anyway. This leaves the 3rd person, the Beloved. Because *the beloved was turned into a monstrosity,* people also start to think that Blade was the Beloved. But remember, *we already proved that neither Blade nor Dan Feng can be the Beloved.* Go back to point number 1, in Blade's PoV story, Blade refers to Dan Feng as someone who mercilessly and with cruelty "buried" the "beloved". *Beloved is a 3rd person that Blade claims Dan Feng "buried" or killed.* Unnamed is likely Blade, because as we just proved in this point, there are 3 people referenced in the text: a lance weilder (Dan Feng), unnamed, and beloved. And I think I saw in a different lore video that it said somewhere that "unnamed and beloved are engaged" (for this I'm not sure, but I do recall seeing in 1 or 2 different videos that unnamed and beloved are engaged to each other). Accepting, based on the evidence thus far, that 1) "Beloved" is a 3rd person, 2) "Unnamed" is Blade who collaborated with a spear weilder on the immortality research, and 3) the spear weilder is Dan Feng who *"stubbornly adhered to the plans that were made with the unnamed".* we can interpret the following: because of Dan Feng who stubbornly adhered to those plans, despite Blade wanting to back out of it, something terrible happened to the Beloved. Based on the evidence so far, *we can tell that 2 things happened to Beloved because of Dan Feng:* (1) she was buried or killed and (2) she was turned into a monstrosity. Fast forward to modern day Star Rail, Blade said something very important that a few people sometimes overlook in their lore videos. It's that *Blade said that Dan Feng is only one of the people that he's seeking revenge against.* This means that there might be more people involved in what happened to Beloved. Blade likes to use the word "vengeance" a lot. It could be that on his pursuit towards death for himself, he also wants to avenge his Beloved for what happened to her. -- *Now here's something extra..* The text says that Beloved was turned into a monstrosity. I recall reading another comment that said the sword Blade weilds used to be Jingliu's sword. The sword that he made for Jingliu was the greatest weapon he's ever made and he felt that Jingliu was the only one fit to weild it and he gifted it to her personally. Someone mentioned it was peculiar that out of all the Quintet weapons he made, that's the only one he took back. And he can be seen hugging the sword in his idle animations. If you go through Blade's character details in the game character menu, he mentions Jingliu. And there's details suggesting that she was torturing him physically. Some people have said that Dan Feng was watching as she did that (this part, I'm not so sure). But *there is a chance that Beloved could be Jingliu.* I'm not saying it is. Merely that there's a chance. Because the information we were given suggests that Beloved was slain and turned into a monstrosity. The information also said that Dan Feng's actions threw all 3 of them into "an abyss of eternal hatred and remorse." -- There's another thought I'd like to add which is that Dan Feng could be the big villain of Honkai Star Rail. I say this because Dan Feng's immortality research is a major part of the entire main plot (even if Blade himself is just a side character, I don't believe that Dan Feng is). Phantylia was also talking about immortality. And there was that weird side quest that ended 1.0 with the Luofu cliffhanger. I think Dan Feng might have had a lot of moving parts to this whole immortality research thing. And while he was hidden away in Dan Heng, others such as Phantylia could carry on the rest of his mission in the meantime. This is just speculation, I don't know. Just a random idea I threw out there. -- There's so many ways to spin this story, but... whether Dan Feng is a villain who did all this for a "bigger plan"..., whether he's misguided and thought sacrifices had to be made for a greater good..., whether he used the immortality research on Blade instead of "Beloved" cuz Dan Feng said "friends over hoes" and chose his friend..., or whether he decided to use Blade as an experiment to test his research... or maybe the Quintent together decided to sacrifice Blade's Beloved for the sake of immortality research... I dunno... All I can glean from this is, Blade is seeking revenge. Not for the Xianzhou. Not for the Luofu. But for the person he keeps referring to as "Beloved". And whatever happened to "Beloved", he blames his former friend Dan Feng for that (along with a few other people whose identities we don't know yet, cuz remember, Dan Feng is just one of them). A true revenge arc story. I'm really curious to know who this Beloved is and what she looks like. ------ *Also on this topic of resurrection and immortality,* this gives more weight to the fact that Luocha was wandering Luofu with a coffin and that Jingliu also happened to be there. I don't know if the 2 are related to each other. But a coffin is pretty significant in a story about immortality, death, and resurrection. Who knows, *maybe Beloved is in Luocha's coffin.* lol

1) First Theory. May be Beloved is Bai Hang foxi girl? Blade want to save her and ask Dan Fang for the transmute experiment. She transform into monster after the experiment. Jing Liu kill her and Blade. Imprison Dan Fang And then Bai Han monster reborn into Bailu, but Blade did not know this. (Bailu \ Bai Han has same hair style.) We did not know why Blade transform into lost soul immortal. May be Dan Fang save him with his power. 2) Second my theory. Blade hate Jing Liu so much. But why? Blade was terminally ill or infected. Bai Hang, Blades beloved, ask Dan Fang to use transmute technology to fix them. Dan Fang with Bai Hang did it for his friend Blade . The tramsmutate doesn work well and transform Blade into immortal lost soul. Jing Liu killed Blade and Bai Hang and imprison Dan Fang. But she also took mara strike for herself. Then Blade reborn and want vengeance. Three must pay a price for Bai Hang death - Blade, Dan Fang and Jing Liu.
