Isbell, Goldsmith, and Mills on the same stage. Couldn't ask for anything more.

I showed this to my guitar and she left me today because I'll never be able to make her feel the way Blake makes his feel. I'm heartbroken.

People sayin Jason doesn’t belong are crazy. This was probably a random jam they decided to do and Blake and Dawes massively respect Isbell as a musician and an artist. I’ve seen him close up live 5 times and he is a CRAZY good guitarist, especially on slide. And he can shred without oneHe is one of the best slide players out there according to guys like Dave Cobb. He isn’t Blake tho, no one is

Totally! Big band style! I hear it as clarinet-esque. I’ve started transposing Blake’s solo in this and, man, I’m learning a lot. Some incredibly clever notes in there. Every time I’ve learned something that Blake plays, I’ve gotten so much out of it. And to think he improvised this. Jeez.

@@alexanderleach704 clarinet-esque seems to be a more appropriate description:-) - and yes I feel the same about Blake. I also did some of this incredible improv. Loads of noise around but clear untill the bendingsnstart.:-) Love it too ...Halleluja

I"ll take the Lynyrd Skynyrd version................
@Sasketchejuana_man4 жыл бұрын
It’s originally a JJ Cale tune which they did a great service to as a tribute. Skynyrd did a good version too.

Sorry but isbell is so out of his league here. Love the guy but he’s not even playing the same sport as Taylor and Blake.
@teoanicic6 жыл бұрын
and what sport would that be? playing guitar? even taylor is not in the same league as blake, but so what. Jason and Taylor are the best songwriters of their generation

I’ve seen Jason 5 times and he is every bit of a guitarist as Taylor. He is very fluid and crazy good and slide and he can shred without one too. Taylor is probably a more country style of player while Isbell is much more rock. Of course Blake is a very weird master and is a better guitarist than pretty much anyone. This is one of the worst slice performances by Jason I’ve ever seen. I’ve seen him tear into solos. He isn’t technically in the same field as Mills, but he can hold his own on stage
