His iconic catalog also includes 6 #1 albums such as Red River Blue, Bringing Back The Sunshine, If I’m Honest and Texoma Shore. A celebrated singer, songwriter, musician and coach of Team Blake on hit TV show “The Voice”, Blake has redefined what it means to be an entertainment superstar. And if that weren’t enough, Blake also dabbles in the finer things by way of his Ole Red bar and restaurants, inspired by hit song "Ol' Red", and his award-winning Smithworks vodka. Hai People honey you know I am not fucking stupid. I know you're talking about me. I am as far from anything anybody says about me on here. So that means I am as far from a bitch and as far from an idiot as you can get. How many idiots do you see working as therapists. How many idiots do you see with two bachelors and two masters degrees at just 24 years old. How many idiots do you know graduated high school in a class of over 300 graduates graduate as valedictorian at just 16 years old. Bitch you best watch who you're calling an idiot you idiotic psychotic bitch. I do not want any fucking attention. I get attention from.my three year old five year old and ten month old kids and my husband. And speaking of.my kids they're more mature than all of y'all and they're a hell of a lot younger. Hell my ten month old chocolate lab is more mature than you and she's a dog for fuck sake. Grow up and get therapy. I am a therapist so I know who needs therapy. Oh and by the way I am only 24 years old. The world needs more people like me. Me and my husband are expecting our fourth child. So suck it bitch
@soyei
@soyei 6 жыл бұрын
countrygirl country musiclover ... how are you a therapist when every comment you have made has been negative and shallow? I can't see someone like you every performing an adequate therapy session. There is no way in hell that you were valedictorian in your high school if you spoke the way you do now. Check your grammar and your relevancy first before rambling like an old, hateful crone and causing more and more hatred.

This is what kids these days will never see, and it breaks my heart! First day of summer break, I gasses up my Dad's old lawn mower, and hit every lawn I could for ten bucks a lawn. I could make 700 bucks in a summer. If I did not want garage sale clothes, or my big brothers hand me downs, I had to buy my own. I do miss those old days. Small town in a time back when everyone was not offended by every breath. I would work hard, to be able to pay for pizza, and video rentals for my family on Saturday night made my heart dance. It makes me so sad that my kids were not there to see the rich beauty of those times. Thanks!

Born in 88 Climbed trees with no ropes or harness, old Mans Truck had the pop out window that was the air conditioner, played hide and seek, best spot was in the culvert pipe under the road. Horseshoes in the back yard all night under brightness of construction work lights. Club houses and forts in the woods. Fishing all summer long every day. Riding bikes everywhere we wanted to go. Cussing got you a mouth full of soap. Rain hitting the awning of the tin roof. B.B. gun and daddy’s beer can. Wish I was 8 years old again

Did my sum climbin trees, sittin on top of the world, ran through a many a culvert pipe. Chased my 1st boyfriend home from school every day through about 3. Played outside til dark, brought extra dogs home from a 10 block walk from grammar school, stole pickled peaches from gramma's backporch pantry, brought the dogs in to sleep under an in house blanket fort. Good Ol' Days and did fall into a yellow jacket nest in a bush outside of church 1 day, WHOA.

Here the lyrics ❤️ Daddy drove the wheels off a flatbed Ford Flies found a hole in the old screen door Granny said the dress that my sister wore To church wasn't long enough Mama poured grease in a Chrisco can Put a hundred thousand miles on a Sears box fan Uncle Joe put tobacco on my hand where Them yellow jackets torn me up And I ain't making this up Oh, you think I'm talking crazy In a different language you might not understand Oh, that's alright That's just the kind of life that made me who I am Just taking my mind on a visit Back in time 'cause I miss it You wouldn't know to love it like I love it Unless you lived it And man, I lived it Granddaddy smoked Salems with the windows up Drove me around in the back of that truck We drank from the hose and spit in the cup We all survived somehow Them old Duke boys, they're flattening their heels Hollywood was fake, wrestling was real Wouldn't dream of spending that two dollar bill From pushing a lawnmower around I'd go back there right now Oh, you think I'm talking crazy In a different language you might not understand Oh, that's alright That's just the kind of life that made me who I am Just taking my mind on a visit Back in time 'cause I miss it You wouldn't know to love it like I love it Unless you lived it And man, I lived it Oh man, I lived it Oh, you think I'm talking crazy In a different language you might not understand Oh, that's alright That's just the kind of life that made me who I am Just taking my mind on a visit Back in time 'cause I miss it You wouldn't know to love it like I love it Unless you lived it And man, I lived it Oh man, I lived it

This song makes me feel proud to grow up in Zambia 🇿🇲, when I moved to the uk and told some people about my upbringing and they pitied me thinking we hated growing up in a rural area. Hi Blake Shelton, I understand your story in your song. It’s true of you have lived it and you loved it, that’s exactly what country does. To fly fishing , to drawing in the dirt, to strolling and taking in the surrounds amongst the bush tracks along the river beds. Imagining as a child, when we’ve grown up in the country, means we are different, you have described so others can understand just how good it is.

Blake was able to transition from singing in a 80s-90s style of country to a more modern sound. What he and many artists do is use Sprechgesang - a singsong conversational style that is part speech, part singing - it is not rap but closer to rap than what we think of as "traditional" country music. I give him props for recognizing the ubiquity of rap and adapting to ever-changing listener preferences. Does that mean he sings country pop? I suppose but a genre isn't supposed to remain static. He should be inducted into the Country Music HOF because of the longevity of his career and the number of hits he had. I agree with others that "I Lived It" should have gone to no. 1 on country airplay and that he should have won a Grammy for "God's Country".

What a great feel-good country song. No matter which genre of music you prefer, there’s no denying that this is a well written song. It seems that it is a reflection of his life, which brings a lovely perspective to the song.

This song brings back childhood memories of my grandparent's house in South Carolina. That place was my second home and it hurt when my grandmother developed Alzheimer's and we had to sell that house to pay for her medical bills. If I could buy my grandparent's house back I would in a heartbeat. I was born and raised in Virginia, but the Carolinas hold a special place in my heart and was my second home.

I love this song! This is exactly how I grew up in the '60's & early '70's except my Dad was a Dodge man. He had a black and red Road Runner. My Mom & Dad raised 11 kids on 50 acres of land here in Kentucky. We were financially poor but we had all that land to roam & play on for hours and hours. We loved it! We had several gardens and an outhouse for awhile and well water. Mom & Dad have passed but all of the brothers and sisters still own the land minus a brother & sister that passed years ago. My kids have many memories there and grandkids. My brother lives in my Mom & Dads house now. Its just an old country home but its priceless!
