Although she does look like Discord (I keep saying this over and over, but just LOOK at her), I'm honestly starting to doubt everyone's suspicions of her. It feels like everyone's violent and hateful reactions to Gen 1 and 3 (which I adore, fight me) are being projected on to her because, well - just watch a Gen 3 episode and you'll see the connections. She's just a red herring.

Oh also, remember when the CMC were eager for school and loved their teacher and thought she was the best thing ever? Now they are looking for every chance to get out of there and find it dull and boring. They really are growing up.

Considering she thinks magic means control, and generosity is intelligence (like their present was part of a plan), I don't trust her either. Also, Starlight being impressed by Cozy Glow's plan makes me think she'll be the one having doubts on her.

I really didn’t like how Twilight just assumed the worst out of the CMC, I feel she would know them well enough to know that they wouldn’t do that. SHE DIDN’T EVEN APOLOGIZE!

I don't like it, but I can at least rationalize that it just means Cozy Glow is SUCH a good liar that she overcame Twilight's natural ability to be rational and reasonable. We didn't get to see them interact, but it must have been a great performance.

If there was still any doubts, this episode proved that Twilight did well to pick 'ol Starlight "meme-face" Glimmer as the Guidance Counselor for her school. And now we have "your mom" jokes in this show...and i like it!

I disagree, the first of all ponies is Twilight because well as being main character, she has more memorable facial expressions including things like 'pudding in Xmas special, the eye twitch many times (Trixie and Neighsay are major culprits), the crazy faces (see short starlight the hypnotist about the ladybug and episode Lesson zero), the pedo blink stare towards Filly Rainbow Dash in Season 5 finale and also that weird smile when Zephyr trail reveal her wingmate ' s flaw. Starlight (my 2nd favourite pony, close to Luna first because well you know why) has become even with her flawed redemption in Season 5, best innovation to FLM with her savage and impulsive behaviour that hasn't completely forgotten her villain ways, only used for good (ok only during Royal Problem, but man if all her atttempts were funny and/or fabolous) and she has become the most sane of ponies outside the 3 oldest alicorns And her meme face here is glorious

During the whole episode I was like "This filly is evil there is noway that someone would be that adorably weird" especially the way she talks that just feels like she is protending, and I think that the worst thing about this episode is that she turned out to be actually good... but it's all forgiven because Starlight XD

I think that she is villain material... But she doesn't have any reason to be a villain right now. She seems to have the skills (Rook cutie mark -manipulation?) and the mindset (Element of Control, really?) to be a villain, and because of that, she comes off as suspicious even when she is trying to do good. Now, that doesn't mean she can't find a motivation later on, or have someone else give her a reason to be evil (Say, a certain changeling)...

I think I'm the first one to call this out on a video... at the start of Twilight's class we get the first onscreen appearance of Chancellor Pudding Head... who was referenced in EQG's "Forgotten Friendship", when I heard his name I said "Oh so that's what the pony who made the law about drinking Carrot Juice looks like, cool".

For Shame! That was NOT 'Groucholoo' that was Shimmering Spectacles! Cozy Glow is pure evil. NO animated character that talks THAT Cutsey is ever not evil. Darla Dimple, Baby Doll, Gideon Gleeful etc... Add on to that, her cutie mark is a freaking rook! Not only does it set up the whole chess motif of playing other people, but 'to rook' is an older slang for conning someone. Plus, she JUST happened to be crying right next to the clubhouse, just as the CMC were trying to get into the school? Add on to all that, she came up with a scheme the Starlight freaking Glimmer found 'devious'. Yeah.... there is something up with the pony. Speaking of best character this ep, Starlight stole the show, and it ws wonderful Do agree the ep felt kind of padded and drawn out, but still overall solid.

7Seraphem7 I think Cozy Glow is villain material indeed... But I don't think she is one (at least right now). In my view of this episode, she has the skills (The rook cutie mark) and the mindset (Element of Control? Really?) to be a villain, but she doesn't have the motivation to be one right now. The reason is mostly because I really don't see what anything she did this episode would help in any evil plan in the grand scheme of things. Did she want to ruin the CMC's standing with the Mane 6? Why would she bother with some ponies she barely knows? Was she trying to manipulate them to help her pass her tests? Then why would she risk things by purposefully failing -the CMC didn't seem to have any objections about continuing to help her, after all. Did she actually want to help them get into the school? Well... I really don't see the 'evil' part in that evil plan. That's just a plan. A really bad way to plan, but still just a plan. Plus, when the CMC say they'll help her, she ends up saying "Why? What's in it for you?", which really doesn't sound like something she'd say if she actually was trying to manipulate the CMC into something. Just shut your mouth and accept the help. Now, I'm not saying somepony else couldn't give her a reason to be evil (A certain changeling for starters), or that she couldn't get a motivation later on...

I think her whole plan is this episode was to befriend the CMC from the start. They are the little sisters (well, two little sisters and an honorary one) of three of the Mane Six. If anypony ever wanted a way to get at the elements or their owners the CMC would be a really good way in.

So here are a few things I noticed about Posy Glow: When approached by the CMC she is immediately suspicious of them wanting to help. When mrs. Cake remixes the sprinkles that she and Sweetie Belle sorted, she seems to be holding back some real frustration or anger. When looking at the cards with the Mane Six's cutie marks on them her first two answers are "intelligence" and "control". Her cutie mark is a chess piece, which is interesting considering the aforementioned intelligence and control quotes. Just a thought: What if, Posy Glow is Chrysalis trying to take over Twilight's school from the inside?

The thing that bothers me is that Twilight didn't apologize nor did she give the Crusaders even a chance to explain. Heck Twilight knows the Crusaders yes they've done stuff to get attention but never done anything out of spite more so since they've matured quite a lot. I would have forgiven that if Twilight had just said she was sorry for not even given them the chance to explain or tell their side.

Heather Feathersong I agree. The degree is nice but in my opinion it doesn't make the wrong right. If your friend has supposedly done a bad job and you know it not like them then you should investigate and try to learn the truth. The kid could have been bad at tests for all twilight knew. I always forgot everything when it came to test.

i know exactly what how annoyed the cmc must be. They have to go to a boring school just because they don't meet a certain criteria. Also twilight got to go to school she wanted and she is the prinsess of friendship so you'd think she'd have a little consideration towards the cmc

I think Cozy Glow just a filly who prefers not to interact with other ponies due to some form of anxiety. She tries to hide the spilled bird seeds to avoid getting in trouble, even though it’s not that big of a deal. She doesn’t discuss her plan to help the CMC get into the plan. She also avoids interacting with ponies she’s never met on her own, but is more comfortable with the CMC around. I don’t think Cozy Glow is evil, she’s just a little socially awkward.

Starlight having nothing to do makes sense: Guidance counselors are who you send people having serious emotional issues to. And I haven't seen any of that so far. Also, as far as I can tell, this episode's initial conflict is elementary/middle school kids trying to get into a college. I don't know about this Cozy Glow character. The way the Elements reflected in her eyes and the look on her face, when she thought the Element of Magic represented control, and even the fact that her cutie mark is a rook, which when used as a verb means to "take money from someone by cheating, defrauding, or overcharging them", which also could have a different meaning but same idea in this context. The rook is the lapdog of the bosses, and they "usually work to protect their leader and punish those who seek to undermine their superior." They also "constantly work to gain their leader’s approval." Rooks are the henchmen, bodyguards, and the devoted followers. She is definitely up to something...
