I had the same experience. The first release version was so frustrating, I didn't even want to buy the game. Then I bought it on sale a year later and fell in love.

Dashing before anything locks you in place can save time

Escribar has a trick where you can lock his AI if you start the fight a certain way. The way I do it is I open the fight with a dash-thrust, then attack twice as he is casting. This typically forces a teleport instantly, and when he reappears, he doesn't do anything. Thanks for the suggestion, though!

You can cancel the attack animation. No turbo on the controller

@@indyzaga google it. There's tutorials on here. You have to hit a combination of up attack and crouch to cancel the animation.

@@indyzaga You hold up on the d pad and then every time you push attack you then push down on the stick.

You just hold up and press attack to do an up-slash, then you press down to cancel the animation. Repeat that as quickly as you can in rhythm. Easy on keyboard if you set your keys up specifically for it. Possible on controller, but I can't do it well, myself.

@@alyasya8226 If you're using a controller, you can hold Up on the D-Pad and flick the stick Down. Stick overrides D-Pad, so you don't have to let go of Up and just need to find a rhythm on Attack/Down.

@@Kitokys ohhh, that's a good hack, have to do some stretching on my fingers first, but will try that with the Pro controller. (I'm playing this game on Switch)

I play on PC, so I just keep a folder with completed files ready to Ascend. I copy them over when I run out.

Bile Vial is so I can potentially save more time by taking damage, since I'll have vials to heal with. Even though I already have the wound, the game will not open the door beyond Esdras unless Ten Piedad is dead.

You have to equip the sword orb you get as a reward for killing all the amanacidas in true torment mode.
