Wow play by play , different angles , commentary and thoughts and feeling way better than people who just recorded their fight in one angle with loud background noise and some reflection on card which make them completely white

@TheFollowerOfPain6 жыл бұрын
This setup is INSANE. This is entertaining to watch, it's engaging, I feel like I'm watching an actual show. Your reality show feel of off to the side commentary, your multi-shot view of the players, the field, and even the players hands is great. Small background music that isn't too distracting. High quality picture that isn't pixelated with no distracting background noises, and high quality audio. Usually I find myself skipping to the end to see what wins so I can get past all the crap, but this pulls me in. If you can pump out match videos like this commonly, you can really set the standard for watching card game matches on youtube.

Guy, you seriously need to keep this good work, the camera was well focused so it was easy to watch the cards both of you were using, the voices were clear and understandable, those cuts to show some comments were a good extra, its the best cardfight i've seen here on KZfaq.

The reason the cuts feel obnoxious is because you're crossing the line of the 180 degree rule.Generally after you established who is on the left and right, do keep it that way and not have the ZTB player who was established to be on the left, suddenly be on the right when you cut to the view of the players themselves An example of it being done right is where you cut to the over shoulder shot at 2:57 , that's fine . The close ups are generally ok though.

Super dope. By far the best looking match I've seen. One suggestion, flip one of your table shots. It was weird seeing the player table shot with you on the left then cutting to the gameplay table shot with you on the right

I personally enjoyed the overall video quality. I don't personally see the need for the intermissions, I believe you could easily voice over the fight as well as the shifting camera angle. Regardless, it was refreshing to see something new.

Aight, I decided to watch the video and give some constructive feedback/criticism. 1. Don't really have much to say on the cut aways to the interviews. I know OzAnimart did it and people liked it for what ever reason, but its has a demand so you can't really argue that not doing it is bad if it gives the video attention (views). 2. The cuts between the players faces, back to the board, back to the faces, back to the board, zoom in on the board, back to the normal sized board.... It just got cluttered. I get that you really wanted to stress on the video effects, engagement, and show off your filming/editing skills, but there is a point where its too much. Try to keep the video editing minimal and focus on a target focus point in each of your shots to keep steady for a good solid minute or two. When the camera goes all over the place, you lose your audience. Starting around 6:04, I watched as the camera angle switched over and over again to the point I couldn't pay attention. You have to remember that when you're uploading table top gaming videos, people are trying to watch HOW you play. Not just watch you playing. So when people are trying to watch how you play and suddenly their focused is forcefully reassigned to a completely different angle and space, the viewer is lost and disorientated. 3. If you're going to do a zoom really quickly because the zoom creates an experience that would not have been obtained without it, then go ahead. Just don't do it two or three times in a row within the same minute. personally, I found it somewhat nauseating. Zooms don't really help create a better experience unless the goal is to make fun of something. This channel has potential. Please take note on the things I've mentioned. I want to be able to come back and enjoy a fight video without the distractions.

well it looks like an anime fight, except that you cant slow the time and talk and stare at your opp for a long time in order to let the audience feel the game just like the anime did. in short, it looks fast pace and quite awesome to watch imo, besides, his content is way more better since he and his opp play neatly and not rushing about (eg; throwing cards circling on the board and restanding vg n rg starting your turn when your opp clearly havent finish ending his turn yet) so that we the audience can keep up, together with his good commentary from time to time, i dont think its that bad, good games, good efforts for content, good lighting effects, except for some of the blurry zooming, like i said, abit fast pace (since it looks like as if it followed anime scenes shifting from angle and another angle - still cool and i like it!) good content and good job @solemn vanguard!
@TheFollowerOfPain6 жыл бұрын
If I had anything negative to say I would agree that the jump cutting seems excessive. I love the jump cutting but sometimes it felt forced, like he didn't need to cut to another shot. But simply staring at the field makes me feel bored, too.

Some of the rapid camera angle changes were quite unnecessary and kind of takes you out of the match. The cut to commentary moments weren't that bad but I also feel that you could've just kept the match going with your voiceover.

The problem with that number is that it's wayy too low for a good DSLR and that doesn't even take into account lenses. (or lighting) So you'd be getting those smaller "all in one" cameras which aren't really built for any solid productions. Canon Powershot G something X (the something being; however much you're able to spend... G7X is the latest, I think.. but double your budget.) is a decent option.
