Seems nice, you might struggle against water with chien pao, palkia and gholdengo since they are made to discard energy or retrieve It

Have you tried this with the Eldegoss from EVS yet? Pretty consistent energy grab to discard for the attack.

Man, I hate that Venusaur had to be, again, the worst of the Kanto trio. It's not shit, but definitely not as good as Blastoise. Great plays here with the turtle.

Put an enrgy search, or throw letter of encouragement in this deck, it fits well since you have cleffa to trigger it with and irida to search it with, not quite a bucket but it works in this deck. Edit: I'm not sure why the superior energy retrieval?, Theres no hand attach acceleration. I would go energy recycler, because you have draw engine on board with kirlia, and can only attach one a turn. So 2 e-recycle and 1 letter of encourage ment or energy search, or even regular retrieval, since theres no price to just grab the energy with regular retreival.

You should totally play an ace spec letter of encouragement; it's actually really useful to have, especially cause it makes irida an out to energy from the deck in the early game
