Hyde just doesn’t know much about his own ability, it’s not really 4th Wall breaking. Certainly seemed like it, though.

I have genuinely envisioned a crossover story where the Guardians of the Galaxy also get caught up in this madness, with the crux of it all being that Ego has somehow managed to be revived by System and, by using its function of observing various worlds, is trying to consume all of them. But he needs Peter and a beginner's set to start the process, so he grabs the GoG and the other characters, gets System to observe their data and try to make a foray into their worlds. The theme of the story would be about how the sheer difference between the many different universes is what makes them special, and Ego's consumption would utterly ruin all of that. System's observance allows her to make that conclusion, so she secretly engineered a scenario which would allow Peter to temporarily get his Celestial powers back while the others also supported him, allowing them to kill Ego once and for all.

I have a theory that the thing repeated this several times, getting stronger with each one (starting eith rwby where it has little power left, unib where it creates a second phantom field and p4 where it even manages to alter memories) and in blazblue's non-true ending it actually achieves it's goal however in the true ending the attack from all 4 of them finally destroys it But that's just my theory
