I still can't get the synergy for Hyouten Danka (Ice Heaven Flower) [Tact] (the charge move, aka judgment cut).

I thought about that too tbh. Kinda like what another Roguelike game has called dead cells. In dead cells you can mix and match weapons and items to fight various enemies and bosses. A feature like this would make my job 10x easier when the game fully drops and I take up the task of explaining every single character, boss, and talent tree.

Is there any reason to go extensive training over regular training?

Yes because you get more EXP and Moneys from it
