I think Blaze did an awesome job in Maiden. Bruce will always be my alltime favourite singer but that doesn't mean that Blaze didn't do a great job at Maiden. His voice fitted perfectly with those 2 albums (especially with the darker tone of The X Factor). His solo career is great as well. The Man Who Would not Die, Promise And Terror, Silicon Messiah all of those albums are simply amazing imo. I have a lot of respect for him. Humble, a real gentlemen, amazing singer. What's not to like about him? Awesome guy! :)

Blaze is cool! He's totally humble, and a great guy overall, and not to mention I absolutely adore the work he put in with Iron Maiden. The X Factor is in my top three list of best maiden albums, because those songs represent a lot of emotion and feeling, and blaze connects with that in his singing so well, and also not to mention Virus...personally, my fave song with Blaze. I have not checked out his actual solo career stuff, but I am definitely going to, because I am very interested to see what it's like. Also not to mention I am all for the three singers thing...that would be an amazing experience for all maiden fans to see, especially all the newer generation of fans. But yeah, Paul would never agree to do that I think because he's probably still mad for them firing him, and if they bring the singers back for like a maiden fest, I think they should bring back pretty much all previous members of the band. Unfortunately, Clive Burr passed away, which is very sad, as being a drummer myself, Clive's beats and patterns have a lot of good stuff, and have inspired me quite a bit. But hey, this year is the 20th anniversary of the X Factor, and just maybe come the Fall time, since Bruce will have been recovered by then, they could bring Blaze and Bruce on stage together to sing songs off that album, and of course, maybe even some old classics. I would be incredibly happy if that could ever happen.

This guy is amazing. I already had Somewhere In Time, but I didn't love Bruce's high vocals at the time (I was barely a teen). I walked into a music store (they still existed at the time) and found a new release, The X Factor. I bought it because the art looked cool and I saw there was a new singer. It was very, very different from Somewhere In Time, and I LOVED it! It still is one of my favourite Iron Maiden albums, and always will be. The band is now in my top 5, maybe top 3, but who knows if or when I would have become a fan, had it not been for the deeper vocals of Blaze. (My taste matured as I grew older, and I love Bruce's vocals now.)

I love that man. His attitude is always so positive towards.....not just Maiden, when in reality, he was crushed by this. I think everyone is grown up enough to realise that replacing Blaze was the right thing to do when the chance arose. Blaze could oh so easily have come out and trashed Maiden/Steve for killing his dream. However, he's just so human about it all.....respectful to have had the chance to be the vocalist for 5/6 years.....and to do 2 albums with them. He's never (to my knowledge) ever said anything negative. And to be fair, Maiden (in particular Bruce) has always shown respect towards him. The guy is a legend. He got to live the dream that every other fan would kill for. He's had some fucking amount of shit to deal with over the last 20 years or so.....but he ALWYS comes back stronger. Speedy recovery Blaze, all the best to ya!

Paul is pissed because he thought maiden sold out and he got fucked by that. To an extent Blaze got screwed too when Bruce decided to come back to maiden. People shit on Blaze, but, he filled a gap when it was needed and the 2 albums he did with maiden where good. But, people you know, it's not Bruce then it's shit.

It's a great shame that they never tuned down for Blaze when he was touring with Maiden. Blaze and Bruce are on two different registers; they aren't comparable. He struggled so much trying to reach notes he couldn't reach and the band was _somehow_ unaware of it. I love Mr. Steve Harris but come on Steve, you wanted something different from Bruce but at the same time you still wanted Bruce. If you could've had everyone tune down their instruments, the live performances would've been much much better. Blaze's solo albums prove to the haters that he could sing fantastically all along. On the "X Factor" he did a fantastic job on vocals. Also what was Steve thinking when composing and writing "Angel and the gambler"? Having Blaze repeat the chorus over 5 minutes throughout the entire song? What the fuck was he thinking?! To this day I never understood why he was so bland during the live performances. He would just stand still and not move and jump around, which is odd, because he jumped around and made his presence known when he was in Wolfsbane. It might be because he was trying to concentrate on hitting notes he couldn't reach normally. In short, Blaze is a fantastic singer and his talent was unfortunately wasted while under the guidance of Steve Harris and his love-hate for Bruce at the time. No matter who they would've gotten, the fanboys would still bitch and moan to the moon and back

Blaze is a down to earth and gentle and loving passionate man not a sick in the head bitter evil bastard like what Paul has become, but his idea of all three singers is fantastic! I do not like Bruce or Paul or anyone in the band except the guitar players who for me are the sound and the bedrock of Maiden. If you want to go back historically about bands where instruments made them great and you're focusing on guitars don't forget the band that originated it all The Byrds. They had a ringing crystal clear triple guitar at times attack and so did Buffalo Springfield. Music would naturally grow and move into other sub genres such as heavy metal, but it's all worth listening to except for that shit that sounds like The Cookie Monster After Too Many Cookies!

I love his 2 albums he did with maiden its strange to think that people back then always compared him to Bruce even tho they both were great but also had very different voices... yet in current day maiden 2022 Bruce dickenson sings more like blaze now due to the years of strain on his voice and struggling to hit the high pitches he did in his early maiden years and you know what I'm ok with that, I think blaze has a very good voice and his own style which works for him, as he really is not a high pitch singer

The reason I dislike the blaze albums isn't because of blaze singing or even the songs themselves, it's the production the vocals and instrumentals sound so disconnected from one another as well as the over all mix, guitars just don't have that "punch" they were just poorly mixed in my opinion. But when you hear the songs live you really get that "something" that was missing from the studio versions.

Blaze is a good vocalist. But like now, maiden lost all of the 80s metal sound when he entered maiden, im not saying it is his fault at all, im guessing its harris who wanted to change the sound. But that is the reason people where not satisfied with him in maiden. The more dirty sound, made iron maiden something else and not for the better.

+albert fish blaze bayley sucks big time he's a shit singer one of the worst metal singers i've heard in a long time....That's why they spit on him when he tries to dare sing Iron Maiden tunes..Check out blaze's live stuff with maiden WOW no words can describe how much he sucks live..Bruce sounds good live..blaze sucks live..he sounds like shit even in the studio..If blaze was a better singer he would be more successful than bruce..Stop smoking those drugs mate! there turning your brains into mush!

What happened to him? Did he have an injury? Was he in an accident? What happened to his head? It looks funny. Did a bomb go off near his head? It looks like he had an operation on his head and they left metal plates in his skull which deformed things. Anybody?
