I like to count both this version and the one we see in the show as the same fight. It didn’t look the same, but not only is this movie canon from what I’ve heard, this specific version of the fight is actually more accurate to how the author originally envisioned it (he had to rush it, but he wanted to show the fight in a way that made them look like they were more equal in power).

They have been in pre-production for quite a while now, and were given about an entire year of actual production on top of them likely still animating as it continues to air (which they did before and it still looked really good for its time). Same studio is doing it, and they have given Bleach great animation that still holds up today, and it seems like the people working on it are excited and passionate about Bleach. And then we have the director, who has previous directed another anime by the same studio, Akudama Drive, which has GORGEOUS visuals and animation. Again, we can’t be sure just how good it will be, but all signs are pointing towards this being nowhere close to being “bad”.
