Hey Bobby's Crew! Today i'm experimenting with applying the ROOTS FIRST!!! cue rage from everyone whose ever watched a brad mondo video
but hey, if I don't try it, how will i know it doesn't work? hair is all about constant learning and if there's a better way to do it, i'm going to try it out. let me know your thoughts on this process and if you would ever try it this way yourself!

For zone 1 you can also use pastel developer in a 1:2,5 ratio and for zone 2 20 and 30 vol mixed in a 1:1,5 ratio for further evening out the lift. I like to leave out temples and nape hair for last but forehead and behind the ears I incorporate as I go. Anyway your work turned out so well for a bigger root, well done 🎉

It's perfect your roots are going to be in very good condition because of your great root touch-up technique whilst the ends have been exposed to the air and have had countless wash and heat styliings for a long time and are a lot more porous.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on a route touch up with the wella when you level up your developer as you used to do with the blondme. Have you experimented with that? I noticed wella don't have a 6vol so you could only go from 10 to 20. Will mean I need to worked faster with wella.

But i have a problem i never seem to solve, my hair always seems too yellow for me, even if i bleach it for 30 minutes and im not a dark color of brown, pretty light actually, in some lights it always looks yellow :(. I love pastel pink hair and thats always my go to color but i never seem to get it perfect

Question: why are the ends blonde? Just wondering.. I would think the pink should be on the tips too
@BobbyHairStudio

The ends are blonde because her pink colour fades with each wash and she lets her hair fade as much as possible just before each appointment so I can refresh the hair with as much ease as possible!

There's a gold band from putting the bleach on the scalp and the outgrowth. When the outgrowth is that much you need to do it in two steps with hitting the roots last.
@angelbecks985
@angelbecks985 Жыл бұрын
I was wondering about that too? Why do the roots first? That seemed a little off to me… I would have done it the other way around.
@angelbecks985
@angelbecks985 Жыл бұрын
I know she said it was about avoiding pulling on the hair strands too aggressively- as you might normally have to, to go back after and apply to the roots. It just lifted at such different rates, that FOR ME, it seemed like it could have been done a better way..?

Please katie, don’t don’t don’t switch up your colours from Schwarzkopf to Wella. Their ashes are composite and don’t neutralise warmth. Their colours are yellow based. They are so much warmer and flatter than Schwarzkopf. Blondorplex and Illumina (for toning) are the only decent things that they do. Trained with Wella, worked with L’Oréal and there’s no finer permanent colours than Igora. Love from the UK - you’re amazing and not a showcaser. As stylist so r king in a pretty poor town that’s not something within my clients budget but 😊your tutorials are realistic.

I’m obsessed with Schwarzkopf toners so I don’t see that happening!! I love to find a variety of products I like in each line and choose to use what I like rather than be in a box of just using one colour or product line!

It looks really soft! I just still feel confused about the root application… 🤔 I guess mostly because you still had to go through the hair slice by slice, to check the kids anyway!? Could you not have used THAT btime to then apply the bleach to the roots, slice by slice?

Do you remember that I prefaced this video on how I am NOT a pastel specialist? This is my only client who gets pastel colours done and as difficult as platinum blonding is, it doesn’t hold a flame to how difficult pastel colouring can be. She comes in 2 times per year so I only have two opportunities that I can count on per year to improve. If I get lucky and another guest wants me to practice my pastel colouring on them then I consider myself blessed. Hair is not perfect. And neither am I. This is the best I could do with the time I had and I’m proud of the new techniques and tools I’ve discovered to improve this skill set.
