The problem with gas is the cost per gallon, not how expensive it is to fill up your car vs not filling up your car.

You save more $ in your bank longer if you spend 80 on monday you will have less money in your acct than 20 each 2 days then its more than a week that you spent another 80. But the a/c doesn't "use" fuel to run and it doesn't "run off" the alternator power either.
