Chambers was a fantastic scorer during his prime, and at times, exemplified greatness. Certainly one of the most underrated all-star players from the NBA's "Golden Era". His offensive game was a preview of today's stretch 4 players and he was forerunner of later bigs like Dirk Nowitzki, Kevin Durant, and Giannis. Good to see him getting some deserved recognition here and it's long past time that he be inducted into the HOF.

People talk about the Stretch position. Dirk and KG get the majority of credit, but it's a little deeper. You had stretch players in the 80s. Ralph Sampson,Delf Shermf, Akeem, and Tom Chambers. And there are more. But it's important to share some B-ball history to the2.0 generation.

It’s especially impressive how he twists at like, at least 180 degrees while in mid air when he slams it instead of just reversing it like a normal player would coming from the baseline lol. Nah, not TC. He twists and slams with both hands while being guarded by the best front court ever. Legendary

Nate Robinson(Star), drafted Wilson Chandler, drafted Marcus Camby(Defensive Player of the Year), traded for Jamal Crawford, traded for Stephon Marbury, traded for Steve drafted Channing Frye(Champ), traded for Zach Randolph, made Ron Artest and Jermaine O’Neal Starters for the first time and Artist became a Champion, traded for Jalen Rose, traded for Eddy Curry. SORRY I don't see this comparison. LOL Tatum is a MUCH MORE COMPLETE player. He doesn't have ANY HOLES In his game pretty much. That's NO DISS to Tom C. Was a true alpha dog level scorer in his prime. Was WAY AHEAD OF HIS TIME when it came to his blend of freak athletic ability and scoring skilset at 6'10. At one point, he blended those two elements BETTER than any PF in the league. You could say Tatum combines athletic abilty and scoring skill BETTER than any SF in the league. So in THAT SENSE the are somewhat similar. BUT that's where the buck stops. Chambers positonal versatility ON OFFENSE had him playing SF, PF, and C at various points. So Tatum is MORE CLOSE to a positionless type of two way player. PG, SG, SF, and PF ARE ALL ON THE TABLE of JT's brand of two way versatility. Paul George-sque better a better scorer. Markannen is likely the CLOSEST THING to Chambers in today's league. And i'm NOT SAYING Chambers in on KD's level as a player. BUT in terms of size, scoring skillet, and athletic ability as a package, Chambers was the CLOSEST THING to a KD type of player in his era. Or hell even a Dirk for that matter! The closest things to guy like Porter Jr. Not an EXACT COMPARISON to none of the guys I mentioned. Just saying Chambers was the CLOSEST THING to those players in a certain sense back in the 80's.
