The edit of the palette in a gradient makes it so much more appealing. My first reaction to the actual palette "good god NO", which isn't a great reaction to have - but that chaotic colour placement is just too much for me - which is stupid, granted, but damn.

It’s fine but I’m one who misses the way she used to do her palettes. I’m hoping if she continues to do them this way, she makes them magnetic so we can rearrange them if we want.

Agree, the chaotic arrangement is something I personally don‘t prefer, same as for the old Norvina or recent CB palettes..

I prefer the gradient layout. That makes it easier for me to see what are light, light-midtone, dark-midtone, deep, and deep-dark shades. I can mix up the colors as I choose, but I like seeing the depth of the shades more easily in the gradient layout.

Im so glad she included the dark shades. The number one thing I hate about the majority of pastel palettes is that there's zero depth or the depth is just a black shadow. Like any palette I can reach for depth elsewhere but in a palette this size I want to be able to do a look without having to do that which I think is reasonable. If this was just all pastel it would just be same same but "different" and it wouldnt appeal to me at all. So Im actually probably going to grab this as my first blend bunny palette. Thanks for the thorough review!

I think this palette should have been organized in the gradient arrangement you showed on the picture. Also, since it is a pastel palette, instead of those extremely dark shades, she should have included a row of iridescent pastel shimmers. I mean, I think she should have made it completely pastel. She added those dark shades because of Halloween. Such a missed opportunity to make the perfect pastel palette. She is lacking pastel and soft shimmers in her collection. This was the chance for her to do and include those. I thought she would bring us that. Well, it is what it is. As always, thanks for your review!

She did say on Instagram she doesn't use the typical pattern line up on her color palettes I think it's a cool pallet but I don't see Halloween in this

@@lpercival7820 Neither do I see the Halloween theme. Eventhough, I wear every type of colors, I understand those that say this was a weird release for October. It screams Spring to Summer palette, although she added those dark shades. I do really like what she does with her brand. I had really high expectations. Do not take me wrong, please. It is cute, but she has demostrated she is able of giving so much more. I read what she said about the arrangement. However, I think she is the best with gradients. She shouldn't have felt that way. Someone else can do gradients, but not like her. This palette looks jumbled and all over the place. With the arrangement was more pleasent to see. I would have feel tempted to buy it. Many were asking her to include all of the pastel mattes she has came with in just one palette. Imagine that with the shimmers she included on this new palette and iridiscent shimmers (instead of dark shades). Such a dream colorful transition and inner corner highlighter palette! And with the gradient! OMG!

Bretman Rock did a collab with ColourPop that included a lip kit with a brown lipliner, warm nude lipstick and blue tinted lipgloss. I barely knew who Bretman was at the time, but Nadi of PopLuxe did a review and made that lip kit look so amazing, and it really was. The blue gloss changed the warm nude lipstick to a more neutral nude, so it was like having 2 lipsticks depending on your look for that day. I’d still be using it, but sadly makeup doesn’t last forever. Maybe you can use the blue lip oil like that. Instead of putting it over already cool shades, try putting it over shades that are leaning a little too warm to make them a little more neutral.

I love the chaos. The gradients make me think I HAVE to do the eye looks down the columns, the chaos gives me the freedom for creativity. What I don’t like is a lot of these colors actually read the same and you could probably remove an entire row and have the same palette.

the gradient organised colour arrangement made the belnd bunny brand famous, and it's also what makes such huge palettes way more appealing. often you think "oh those big palettes might have many repeat shades", which often is the case actually, but since it's organised, it's super transparent to see what you're getting. the chaotic type of layout fits smaller palettes way better. it's easier to notice all the colours in a smaller palette and it's less likely that it contains super similar shades anyway (unless the palette is monochromatic). I also think the gradient arrangement made the blend bunny eyeshadow formula feel extra blendable since it was easy to reach for a slightly lighter or darker colour to blend. with that out of the way - loved your video! :)

I prefer the organized layout just because I don't play with color a lot, especially mattes. It being uniform sort of holds my hand, and helps me break down what I want to do, making it approachable and easy. HOWEVER, It's still beautiful, I appreciate the madness and it goes with the theme of being sickly sweet, and I plan on getting it. It'll push me (edit: plus it's not that serious). Blend Bunny's Primal is the first rainbow palette I ever got. It's soo unique to have as a rainbow palette, as BB is amazing at undertones and nuanced colors. This palette will also be my first pastel palette, as I've been wanting one for a while. Seems like BB is going to be holding a special place in my memories and heart for me. I hope they come out with a small palette for Valentine's day.

Im so excited for this pallette! I personally love the more chaotic layout , I find that easier for my brain to try different color combos rather then only seeing the monochromatic look. These shades are all so stunning!

Wow, you were so crazy fast with this video! Thank you so much for the lovely swatches. It`s incredible how much layout can affect our perception of a palette and its color story. I LOVE the image you displayed of the palette rearranged more monochromatically... like you I'm trying to not to feel too entitled about what could have been. There was an artistic vision and it was executed well. Chaos. It's just not *my* vision, or the vision of previous palettes. And that's okay. To be honest the monochromatic rows were the thing I love most about Blend Bunny palettes (besides the incredible quality!). A gradient is so calming and visually pleasing to look upon. You never have to stare in confusion looking for the right shade! And now... oof. How hard do you think it would be to try to rearrange the colors? 😢Asking for a friend.

I see the pattern in it every with the way that it is arranged. Yet, still I see a lot of neat ideas if I look at quads and rows within the palette. Many of the colors would look good together. I am also glad to see the gradient from light to deep. That said, it looks a bit like a Spring/Easter palette with all of the pastels. And I do not wear pastels often as I need to be in the mood for it. So, I hope that Blend Bunny plans to launch a palette with an intriguing red, berry, and new-neutral color palette that leans more towards sophisticated and fun to compliment and contrast with this sweet toned one.

Didnt mind the chaotic layout, but the gradients layout IS her signature layout, or do it in rainbow order like the Blends palette. What she could've done is making this in magnetic palette, let customers rearrange, people will post there version on IG, wouldn't that be fun

"Center of Attention" is such a rare shade, I LOVE it! Pastel honey or cream yellows are common but a lemon yellow pastel is super hard to find! Does anyone know of any dupes?

This palette is perfect for pastels lovers. I guess i was expecting blendbunny "gradient theme". I dont mind these chaotic gradient but is more like any pastel palette I have seen on market. The only thing that will differentiate it from other pastel palette will be the unique formula blendbunny has. I was also kinda expecting an fall/Autumn palette since two of her previous release has been discontinued.

I love this palette. I’m really tempted. Then again I recently bought the Cosmic Brushes Delights palette, which is not the same but also has a sweeter pastel vibe, and I need to save money. It sucks to want all the pretty things and have to be practical. 😭 Such a first world problem. 😔

I like the mix of pastel and almost neons in the palette, though I am wonder if having 1 or 2 more mid-dark (and not just white based shades straight to black based shades) would have made it more well rounded. Not that it necessarily needs to be, but I am curious! But knowing that neon eyeshadows are often made with a decent amount of white pigment, similar to pastels, makes sense why some of these shades are similar but one is more vibrant than the other

Great color story but way too chaotic for me. I don't mind a non monochromatic palette but I prefer them to have some sort of organization. A good example is the NYX ultimate utopia palette. There is a purpose to the layout. You have different mini palettes within the larger one.

Omg, I find the layout of the shadows so upsetting to look at 😂 I know that’s totally a me-thing, but I wish the shades were magnetic so you could arrange them in a more visually pleasing way, like the photo you showed. That said, I’m not in the market for a mostly pastel palette, so it doesn’t really matter what I think anyway! But I think the look you created with it is beautiful 🩵

Hey perfect timing, this popped up just as I was refreshing 😂 love the matching pastel sweater! The palette looks like it has some great shades. I do prefer the gradients as they make it a lot easier to figure out looks on the fly but I love that there’s an edit with the columns! That makes me want to get it even more! I love the shades, but I don’t appreciate the arrangement. I prefer the gradient arrangement, especially in a pallet this large. I don’t get any fall or Halloween vibes, but again, I love the shades and will buy nonetheless.

I wasn't planning on getting this palette but thinking about how it can be used I might just be a perfect person to do it, because of how contrasted my colouring is and this palette is basically just pastels and very dark shades with almost no midtones which I can do, like that 60s blue pastel eye with super dark eyeliner type of looks, I think this could also benefit from using those liquid shadow bases with the pastels on top so it can be more vibrant and precise rather then too overblended, specialy on very warm toned people blending some of those more cool toned pastels too much can look really bad. It's quite difficult palette to work with so definitely not for beginners. I'm thinking about getting it just for that challenge :D

It looks like it’s just me and my adhd brain but I love this layout! It makes my eyes jump around and notice all the shades.. I feel like if this was organized in gradients my eyes would just skip some of the shades and I’d forget about them?! Also because it’s pastel, it makes sense to me to use different/unrelated colours together… needless to say I bought it lmao but again, it’s probably just me lol 😅

I do not like this layout - prefer the gradient layout like the picture you showed. I’d love to see the swatches in the GRADIENT order too it is hard to visualize with the chaotic way this palette is organized IMO. this looks like an expanded version of the ND pastel as well. Lastly the theming is odd - didn’t they just come out with the sugar and grunge? Sweet/sugar seems redundant. Just my unfiltered thoughts! 😅

Finally a pastel palette with deep mattes rather than midtone. You can always use a lighter hand with deep shades......but you can't make a midtone shade deep no matter how much you pile on. I think the palette is beautiful! I love the look! I'm going to try to recreate it with palettes that I already own. 😊 Have a wonderful weekend!

I think the chaotic layout is making me think in terms of quads. I don’t mind the layout at all. I am not that keen on all the pastels but the interspersed dark shades make me see this palette differently

Definitely a gorgeous set of shades! Always appreciate how you showcase these palettes with your swatches and I loved the look. Faces by Gina putting this in order also clarified the vision for me. I'm not a huge pastel person, the ones I already have in my Blend Bunny palettes are enough for me, so this one is a pass for me.

I am super pumped to pick this up and pair it with Cosmic Brushes Delicious Delights, I do wish I could rearrange the shades to match Faces By Gina’s gradient! I really loved the Blend Bunny gradients!

Cute blue eye look! Love Blend Bunny eye shadows, this is a nice pastel palette. I prefer organized colors in a row instead of all over but not a problem. Love pastels but they don't always love me, too white/chalky . Will try putting down the dark shade first like you suggested!

Yeah the way those shades are arranged makes no sense and doesn't inspire me at all. They're not even arranged into quads that would go together well? That edit with the gradients is so much more appealing - though I find the one-color gradient rows somewhat limiting as well 🤷 and I'm not sure that sudden jump from light to super dark really works in practice. And some of the pastels look verrrryyy similar and redundant. I keep wishing her palettes were smaller - she's repeated a lot of the same pink, purple and turquoise shades in several palettes in a row, which makes me even less interested in getting this. It's a shame, because I LOVE the whole "sickly sweet" pastel halloween theme, it's a bit unique and interesting. Although I'm still waiting for a palette from blend bunny with warm, rich, earthy tones, oranges and yellows and greens and so on - i was hoping we would get that for fall. I love Blend Bunny's quality, but I just haven't been very impressed by the color stories of her palettes lately, and this is no exception. Oh well, it's not for me and that's fine, I'm sure others will love it!

I like the Menagerie pastel pallet better….I wish they had the rows/columns make some sort of sense like they could be a good combo but they look random and crazy. I am still waiting for my perfect blend bunny palette to release I haven’t been tempted so far

It is the type of layout that if this was a less popular indie brand, it would be on anti haul/will I or will I not buy type videos as a pass. I’ve seen palettes like this get criticized but I think it will be overlooked here because it has a lot of good will towards the brand. I say it as a big fan of BB but I’m aware it would go differently if it wasn’t from them.

With the way it's set up, it looks like a bh palette but with the shades organized in color family gradients it looks like that one colourpop palette but with a row of dark shades. Obvi I'm assuming the quality is much better then both those brands but i dont think I'll get this. I do want to try blendbunny at some point tho

I was really excited for this but even though it’s beautiful, I don’t think I need it . Which is good because I already bought stuff recently 😂 too much . 2 tarte 7 for 67$ kits, surge, sugar and grunge , and then I went and bought 12 flaky loose pigments from pastel roses 😂😂😂 I want so many pallets right now plus kayali has the new 4 oud perfumes coming out on the 29th ! I can’t buy anything else for a little while sadly. . Right around th time when everyone is coming out with something new too !

Gm Amy, This palette screams SPRING 🌼 I don't think it's a Spooky palette by any means. I think they drop the ball on this.. it could have been a very good 2024 Spring palette 😢, I also wonder how thesr colir perforn on deep tone skin😢

I like the concept of this palette, however im not one who can pull off so many pastels so this will be a pass for me, sadly. As for the layout. although chaotic, its pretty. Having said that, what I appreciate about BB, other than their formula, is she takes the guess work out of what goes with what. As long as I have been consuming beauty content, which is quite some time, color theory doesnt come naturally for me. So This palette jumbles my brain and I dont even know where to start.

It being magnetic would’ve let it be chaotic for who liked that and let the rest of us rearrange. I LOVE BB and no hate but I think it was a mistake to not make it magnetic

I don’t love that most of the deep shades are blue or purple or blurple. I would have been more into a darker rust orange and like a deep yellow, something playing more on the “sickly” part of the palette name. I also think there could have been more iridescent shimmers or something instead of 3 similar pastel yellows and 3 similar pastel blues. I also don’t like the layout bc it makes it super hard to tell some of the tones of shades but when they’re in rows i can tell what color it is and can choose the depth of it easier than searching the whole palette. Obviously it’s not my brand and i don’t represent her entire audience so these are just my thoughts on what would motivate me to buy this palette. She could have even done a smaller palette without repetitive/similar colors and released a pastel expansion highlighter palette.

Yeah the layout doesn’t bother me at all. Just wish she did smaller palettes. Also, is it just me or does it seem like there’s not enough mid tone shades in this palette?

I love me some Blend Bunny but.....I feel like the season for pastels is kinda over. So many brands came out with pastel palettes over the summer and alot of people may have already purchased a pastel color story. I understand they are doing a different twist on a spooky Halloween drop. But to me it's another pastel palette which I probably would have purchased during the spring or summer this year. Not saying it's a bad looking Palette or that the quality is bad because I'm SURE it's not but just not feeling it this time of year.....imo🤷🏾♀️

Amy, Thank you for the first impression, but I hate the way this looks. It is a hard pass for me and I have a few pastel palettes and I really do not use them and they are just not my favorite.

To me the old, gradient style layout leads me to create only monochromatic looks, whereas this sort of layout encourages creativity. Besides, 90% of all palettes are not set up in gradient formation. We’re all big girls, we can handle it. It’s just not that big of a deal. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
