In this video I'm unwrapping everything and packing uv-maps tightly on 4 separate textures. Then I paint on textures, sometimes using color from my sketch, but mostly just guessing what color is best. As you can see, there are places where uvs overlap a little and I try to fix it on the go, next time I should be more careful with island margins and packing in general.
