This is a pretty easy workaround for those who don’t know how to bake UV’s into a low poly mesh.

I don't understand what the make collection instance proxy command does. Wouldn't the concept already work without it? It looks like a long way of duplicating the collection lol

If you click the check box on the collection again, all the eyeball icons in it are turned on again and you see the high rez object in the viewport for all instances again. This is infuriating when you have a lot of objects in one collection and half of them you don't want to see in the viewport.

I usw it in Reverse.I have a low poly model and want high res shadows so it does not look weird.

The text in blender looks damn sharp. Do you use the standard text rendering settings in Blender or did you turn off Anti-Aliasing? and is the Display resolution scale higher then 1.00?

how to do it with an object that has a shape key? I can't decimate it to be a proxy mesh.
