I have started using blender, I'm still in the very early stages transitioning from 3ds max and this is my first fluid simulation with realistic glass shaders

Something funny is happening at the walls of the glass

The glass looks realistic, but the total impression is that it looks fake: - the liquid doesn't stick to the walls of the glass: The surface of a liquid is usually bent inward (the 'meniskus') - viscosity makes it look more like Odo pouring himself into his bucket - reflection lacks caustics (hey, Blender can do this now) - droplets of liquid bleed through the walls

Thanks for the tip. This is like my 2nd attempt at using blender after converting from 15 years using 3ds max and is one of my first attempts at this, I'm still very much in my infancy with blender and am nowhere near ready to take off the safety harness and use it on my own without help

woaaahhh, wonder how a rainfall looks like... don't bother the bkg, just seeing drops hitting the ground or a leaf would be awesome!

@@d34bru yeah I'm literally just finding my feet after converting to blender from 3ds max and the texture node system is something I honestly don't think I'm going to crack anytime soon, plus the fluid simulation system seems to be very temperamental, most of the time it doesn't simulate anything, but that could just be me not using it properly

@@d34bru unfortunatley the rain drop render came out terrible so i wasnt going to upload it. Not sure what i need to do to fix it so i may try an alternative scene

Of course. This is the result of using blender for the first time following tutorials and having no idea how to use the software, all first time renders are shit
